>>221817438the unions make agreements and thus essentially dictate the minimum wage for each branch (even for people who are not in the union) but yes abuses happen. mostly with foreigners who do not know their rights, and in emerging branches where the rules haven't been established. this happened for example with the food delivery jeets where the company didn't pay anything, and IIRC it was sort of legit as no "usual" amount could be defined. If the companies just collectively decided to collude and decide that the "usual" pay is now 0€ then that would be the law (if it weren't for the unions)
