I'm looking forward to migrating to Germany in 2027. Chile is a cool country. I have many opportunities here to live a comfy, first-world life, but this country just isn't it for me. I have no friends, hate my uni classmates, I hate the fact that commuting to uni takes too long, the weather is warm, and I feel this country will be forever third world during my entire lifetime. I've been told that living in Germany is lonely, but I'm already a lonely person (what does water do to a fish?). I'm learning German in hopes of landing an Ausbildung (work and study program) somewhere in the cunt (except Berlin because rent prices are high). Hopefully it will be Hanover.I know Ausbildung does not pay that well while you study, but I've already been living on a tight budget for years. Also I study physics, so I don't think I will have a hard time at it, study-wise.What do you think? Is it a good plan? Am I missing something?
>>221860389i'm happy to have you
>>221860389Find and talk to other chilli who has actually lived and studied there. People here can't give you an accurate picture because they either haven't lived in Germany, or they have but they're from a different culture than yours so their views aren't relevant to you.
>>221860497Thank you very much, German Anon.>>221860711Good idea. I might ask in r/Chile.
>>221860497I often see German flags being the kindest around here. The disparity between this and the stereotype makes me wonder how many are immigrants themselves...

>Chile>German visaBest of luck, you're gonna need it.
>>221861005Why? That's perfectly okay, or isn't it?
>>221860389>I'm learning German in hopes of landing an Ausbildung (work and study program)Do you want a Duales Studium (study at a university while also being employed by a company) or simply learn a trade (Ausbildung)>HannoverLast time I checked the rent prices were quite high there.>What do you think? Do what you want but don't burn any bridges back to your country. Have an "exit strategy".
>>221862743>or simply learn a tradeTrade. It's easier. I think Duales Studium is much harder and expensive.
>>221862743Good advise. I will still love my family. That's not changing no matter what.
>>221862821>TradeAs somebody who studied physics? I know nothing about this career path but outside of an academic career nothing comes to my mind. You really should look into what kind of trade you are entering.>is much harder and expensiveIt is harder as you have to study and work quite a lot. But at least the company will pay your university fees - but I think that if you fail you have to partially pay them back.
