>>221861124No, I wouldn't assume that aesthetic is about colonial Mexico. Looks like an Indigenous community somewhere north of South America, maybe from the last century>how familiar are other countries with mexico via american media? Not very familiar and we probably know more about Mexico from your own media (novelas) than from American media
>>221861124>not see people dress like this and immediatly think "colonial era mexico"?why would anyone think that retarded monkey lolbeside that dumb brown bitch in the purple dress that's just how indios dress today

>>221861124>>>221861124> do people in other countries not see people dress like this and immediatly think "colonial era mexico"?What does this mean?
>>221861124You mean you guys don't eat taco and drink tequila everyday while trying to cross the border into the US in sombreros and shouting "¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!"??
looks porfirian not colonial
>>221861745This, I've seen beaners in downtown LA dressed like this all the time
>>221861124Yes, most western europeans do not realise that the concept of the nationstate is actually quite rare on the surface of the earth. If you tell the average british person there are big areas of your country where people speak a different language to you, they would be very confused by the concept, and any idea of "indigenous" people would probably be compared to welsh, scottiah, or irish people, in the sense that they have a LARPy sense of a distinct identity thats really just some factoid about the history of the area they happen to live in, like knowing a few words of "welsh" or "gaelic".
>>221861124Basically this >>221861745 in a less rude way. The purple dress looks like a 19th century thing (from my country too, not just Mexico), but the other clothes look more like indigenous Mesoamerican garments which have existed for centuries.
>>221861124>am curious, do people in other countries not see people dress like this and immediatly think "colonial era mexico"?they would think gypsies
>>221861124Looks more like 1800s to me. Caste war era?
