What was your country like during the 2008 financial crisis, /int/? Did it have any lasting effects?
I was only 13 but I think my life changed that much, it was like TV thing>wow you can buy this house in bumfuck new york with this 20 dollar bill
Our economy hasn't grown ever since.
It was when the myth of hard work getting you success was broken for me and most in my generation.Watching friends families go from middle class to poverty in a few months while bankers and investors got a bailout time was pretty eye-opening.
I had obtained a job after finishing my degree the previous year. Job did not lay me off but it paid shit and i had no assets or prospects to buy anything big at the time so it had zero affect on me. It already recovered by the time things changed on my end.
>>221868734>4 years between San Andreas and GTA 4>5 years between GTA 4 and 5>13+ years between GTA 5 and 6>4 years between morrowind and oblivion>5 years between oblivion and Skyrim>15+ years between Skyrim and ES6What causes this pattern and can we solve it by chaining game developers back to their desks?
>>221868734The country is already poor af any crisis wont affect the average person here because most already live below the gutter
>>221868810should add covid lockdowns fucked me over very hard. that financial crisis was not okay.
The only thing I can say that changed is it's much harder to borrow money. I remember back in the day you'd get credit card offers almost every day in the mail. Just to borrow 6 grand the other day they needed a cosigner and my credit score is 800+. It was shit in 08/09. But not nearly as bad in the US.
