Logically that should be their firstborn child but they trick Allah by substituting it with a four legged mammal like goat or buffalo. They treat the mammal like a son and sacrifice it on the id day.In hinduism before buddha there used to goat/horse sacrifice before starting any auspicious work to get the blessings of the goddess. But after buddha and his gang roamed around telling the kings to go vegan, hindus started substituting animals with coconut. That's why youll see hindus sacrificing coconut at their doorsteps now.
