The concept of an attractive service or blue collar work is incomprehensible to Indians. We treat our worker class like untouchables. They come from the permanent underclass.
>>221879021And yet you complain the rest of the world makes fun of your country as a whole
>>221879021>attractive service workSuch as?
>untouchablesI think that India having societal division baked into its culture via castes is the primary reason why you guys are having such a hard time progressing. The reason multiculturalism gets pushed in the west is because it reduces social cohesion and in-group trust, largely in order to prevent the masses from uniting against the powers that be. Castes in India essentially provide this same benefit. At least that's what I think, but the last time I suggested this some Indian anons disagreed and called me names.
>>221879727I was using untouchable in a non-casteist way. Idk what % of worker class is actually dalit.
>>221879021No wonder you have a billion people with a lower quality of life than Africa.

>>221879727Castes in India are a result of endogamy being adaptive there. Same reason cousin marriage has been historically adaptive. It's a peculiar quirk of their agricultural system, which is highly capital intensive (irrigation channels and sluices), low physical strength (literally men and women can both easily farm there, and children), and collectivistic. Like ten different tribes on a river have to work together co-operatively to manage the water flow across the entire river. When a bad monsoon hit, like ten villages in a row get hit with massive famines. Indians then have to bail to neighboring villages to live. Which is where the extended family network comes into play. If their caste is stretched out geographically, a wipe-out in one area gets carried by the rest. Castes have little to do with the religious reasons given, or even the caste system. Historically many Shudras have held power over Brahmins, but they still try to maintain separation. It's sticky there because it's adaptive behavior, it's why muslims have caste. And even the religions that try to end caste still tend to default to caste-like behavior, like the Sikhs.>>221879021It never really was seen as anything noble in the west too OP, at least historically. Back in olden times being a physical toilberg was considered to be peasants, not hated, but leisure was a sign of nobility. The recent change where it's seen as glamorous is a psy-op by women with jew daycare jobs who don't want to do it. They want less competition.>B-but they're not capableThey're just as incapable of white collar work too lol, they don't want to weld pipes because that's low status and hard.
>>221879021This is actually retarded in the 90s all Indians were known for in the US was blue collar work. The stereotype was 7/11 clerk not telephone scammer or botting twitter with AI content.
>>221880578>but leisure was a sign of nobility. No, the sign of nobility in the middle ages was martial ability and having the gear to do that. If you read about any noble from the 800s on, they’re constantly fighting in wars or training for battle. Leisure only became their predominant pursuit after the 1600s, but even then many, many nobles served in militaries everywhere.
>>221880654I misspoke, it's not toilberging that was considered a sign of nobility. Physically labouring to provide goods and services. Yes, the male nobles specialized in fighting, and later on served in commissioned roles.
