Americans do not understand this
They have tacos o algo
>>221901722i don't either. the doner guy here is none of those things. least of all polite
>>221901722in Poland we consider doner a German dish desu some kebab shops here even proudly call themselves "Berlin-style doner" as something better (and more expensive) than whatever "Turkish" kebab
>>221901722all the kebab shops here are run by indians these days
>>221903391>>221903439Grim
>>221901722>For you, I put extra :)
>>221903410based
>>221901722>>221903410Influencers have recently turned it into a fancy food and zoomers have decided to pay big bucks even for the worst kebabs and kebabs are now expensive >>221903439Nuh-uh, it's mostly people from Muslim Russian republics, some Georgians, Armenians etc. I saw Indians, Bangladeshi etc. in McDonalds and Korean and Japanese restaurants
also, funnily enough, most no-name kebabs here are run by bangladeshis nowadays (dunno exactly why)meanwhile "doners" will usually have real Turks from Germany behind the counter
>>221903613>it's mostly people from Muslim Russian republics, some Georgians, Armenians etc.i'd say there is no rule at this point, we really have all possible ethnicities running kebab shops here, i've been to places run by indians, bangladeshis, caucasians, turks, kurds, arabs, let alone greeks (but these are called gyros)+ in small towns you still can find Polish-run kebabs, or with Ukrainian staff (10 years ago that was the majority of kebabs across Poland but the demographics rapidly changed lately)
>>221903452He doesn't mean that and you know it
>>221903439That's surprising. I eat a lot of kebabs and I've never been to a shop that wasn't run by actual Turks before.
>>221903451because doner is just local cuisine and not run by immigrants
Am from Berlin and all the döners I've had in other cities were weird or shit in some way
>>221901722Truth. I'm buying one today on my way home
>>221903691in the UK kebab is seen as a high-class dish, same like in the USin Poland it's just regular fast food like in Germany, so when Brits order kebab, they expect not just food but whole Turkish cultural experienceon the other hand, in Poland tacos or chicken curry are seen as something unusual, only to be found in selected mexican/indian restaurants with actual waiters and such
>>221901722We have Mexicans that do the same thing here, but BIGGER
>>221903799>in the UK kebab is seen as a high-class dish, same like in the USKek what, it's the stereotypical food that poorfags eat after getting drunk on a night out. It's like the cheapest slop you can buy.
>>221903833Kebab in shitain is sovlless as fuck though, gdk looks like a fucking mcdonalds
>>221903799>in the UK kebab is seen as a high-class dish, same like in the USWhat the fuck are you talking about, kraut-turk? It's fast food.
it's funny how thirdies in 2026 still think they can tease firsties with>muh you have no good foodwhile it's actually easier to get a whatever good thirdie dish in a firstie country than in the thirdie one. I swear you can get a better kebab in Germany than in Turkey, not even mentioning how more affordable it will beinsane how firsties just took everything that is good from thirdies while giving nothing in return, so nowadays firsties have not only high living standards but also heavenly eating experience
>>221903887come on, kebab in the US is the dish you can only get in fancy Armenian or Lebanese restaurants in LA/NYC, otherwise no one knows about it. Definitely it isn't sold just from random street kiosks that stand one by another along every second street like in Europe
doner kebab sucks, try ADANA KEBAB
>>221903857Never heard of GDK until I googled it, almost every kebab shop is independent here.
>>221903967TURCU SFÂNT (- SEX PULA PISTOL)
