The concept of Korean food seems quite popular in Poland. Unfortunately, I don't have a Korean restaurant in sight, and cooking something Korean at a satisfactory level at home would require too much effort

Idk

I know at least one Korean restaurant. I have a friend who was taking his gf to one. I've been meaning to eat at one too at some point

We don't eat dog meat.

yes. the interesting thing is that a lot of restaurants/stores now specialize themselves in selling Korean junk food/processed food instead of actual Korean cuisine.

You eat Yakiniku though.

Korean food is basically the same like Polish (everything is based on sauerkraut) except we cannot 'sell' our food abroad and make it part of the popculture (i envy Koreans that ability)

for now it's like

I love kimchi
don't think I ever ate any other korean food
>>
yes but it's usually shit

usually when something says gochujang it tastes absolutely nothing like gochujang and is just sugary with slight hot pepper. It doesn't have the complexity of real gochu (which is crazy because gochu isn't even hard to get and use).

I was really impressed because we stopped in grand rapids and there was a place with kimchi hotdogs, and their kimchi was weirdly good like the best I've ever had outside of the kimchi my gf makes. Idk what's going on.

Yeah but normgroids don't know better and go to Chinese larping as Koreans restaurants
There's only a handful of actual Korean ones in my city
