Growing up, my only exposure to Germans was as enemies in war movies (Not a good impression). Once I met Germans in real life, they were very likeable and pretty autistic. They have a very weird sense of humor but they take banter well.

The only German I personally know is a friend to me, he's very nice and gay but highly autistic, moody and quick to anger at the most inconsequential things. Other than him and that one amazing german poster here who loves Poland germans are the most evil people on Earth.

From talking with them online they tend to be very nerdy but also very friendly and soft spoken. This might be biased however as nerds tend to be online more.

In terms of general stereotypes they're just seen as angry autistic Nazis but I don't think that's a particularly accurate stereotype.
