This
Linux readers high iq to use
Not my case
>>
>>221985287
If you use Ubuntu you might as well just use Windows
>>
>>221985287
I'm using Debian GNU/Linux right now
>>221986491
Not really, Ubuntu is still Linux, and you can customise things after installation, just like any other Linux distro

Is this for personal use or a lot of them are outsourced IT slaves?

You can solve your problems in seconds with AI
>>
>>221987226
You don't need AI if you have a brain
>>
>>221987226
this. you can use the gui exactly the same as in windows, but the terminal is nice for extra stuff. I once needed to remove the transparency of a pic (I wanted the background white) and I didn't know shit about image editors.
So I asked the AI for a linux command that does it, I copied and pasted it, and I had the desired image in seconds.
I do stuff like this every day. In windows I would have given up or it would have taken over half an hour to figure out

mostly i use it because there's no viable alternative i tried bsd but bsd has no drivers for a lot of my hardware
when i finally upgrade my laptop ill try and get one where bsd can support the like ax211

Linux user here. To be honest you can do what you describe on Windows too. You can install ImageMagick with winget:
>winget install -e --id ImageMagick.ImageMagick
And then use it to do what you describe.

But anyway, I would say the main advantage of Linux is flexibility and customisability. On Linux you can remove system components if you don't like them, without the system breaking (as long as you do it properly). E.g. snaps on Ubuntu can be completely removed. And there are multiple desktop environments to choose from. Stuff like that. The flexibility of Linux means it can run well even on old computers, where Windows 11 either isn't supported or wouldn't run well even if it were supported.

people here barely know that OS-es other than Windows even exist. But I've done my part to bring awareness
>>
>>221985287
Too hard to figure out
>>

All new laptops here are sold with windows pre installed and normies just don't really care. If they sold them with Ubuntu instead that's what everyone would use

I use arch at home and debian at work.

but windows cast very expansive for average people

winget/chocolatey is absolute dogshit compared to even the worst package managers on linux/bsd systems i had to use that trash at work some years ago and im still mad.

is the command console in windows any good?

AI is especially shit at anything with lots of versions and interactions for the same reason it's impossible to find out what to do as a human
Linuxfags are hopeless too, just a bunch of autistic troons
BSD is the way forward

I use Linux for personal use. I give support to Windows machines. I do not have any use for Windows since Proton became so good there's barely any games that don't run with it.

I hope the Steam Machine succeeds and we get more sotfware for Linux, but I otherwise can do everything I need in my Linux install.

There's git bash if you want to use Linux commands on Windows, it works with Microsoft's new terminal emulator which is surprisingly good although there are still a few issues

I once installed a program for someone on windows then got a call from him soon after telling me that the program hadn't been installed. Turns out I forgot to make a shortcut for it on the desktop. I can't imagine holding the hand of someone like this through a linux install and the following daily use.
