In mine it's pretty much 20-25x average income even here in the south with no jobs and spotty electricity due to loadshedding (prices are lower than picrel but obviously so is net income)
>>
>>221999726
Why is no one revolting against this in Sewerbia though? People on protests in my local zbor debate whether we should beat up people who bring EU or Yugo or "curly Jesus" flags or some shit like that. I don't like any of those personally, I think the curly Jesus one is most tolerable because it's thew most neutral and big tent (and those guys already won out by far), but like.... why are we debating this stuff at all instead of picrel, dude?
>>
>>221999922
Proof that people will lame muh Russian and Ukrainian wartime immigrants, fucking religious zoomers etc before ever daring to blame SNS bureaucrats and mafia for anything in this cunt. Serbs are actual golems by and large man. I have the feeling that literally everyone except young people here actually likes the way Vucic rules. Yugoboomers and Xers should be euthanised, man.
>>
>>221999726
It may be a shoebox apartment, but at least it's a nicely maintained shoebox apartment.
Here in the US there's such a high demand and low supply for housing that there's no incentive for the people who own the properties (ie. the landlords) to maintain them. Some sucker will rent it no matter how much of a shithole you let it become.
If you were to buy an apartment in the US you'd likely have 50k of repairs minimum before it was anywhere near as nice as this. Or you could buy a new construction apartment with plastic walls and plastic floors and plastic everything that was built as cheaply as possible to sell to a moron like you, the buyer.
>>
>>222000172
>If you were to buy an apartment in the US you'd likely have 50k of repairs minimum before it was anywhere near as nice as this
Dumb motherfucker, in your cunt 50k is eight months of median income, in Serbia six years. Groceries like veggies, meat and dairy are way more expensive here too than in your cunt, but perhaps somewhat higher quality than the absolute slop you eat.
>>
>>221999922
>curly Jesus
wtf is that
>>
>>221999726
This is literally a problem in every country.
>>
>>221999726
How do any of you even live if it's 20x your average income. Hostels?
>>
>>222000382
We live at our parents' house and just never move out. If you really have to then it's jeetlike bugman roommate living. That's the reality of living in countries with a 90%+ home ownership rate - it's like that because locals are paid worthless monopoly money that makes it far too expensive to ever move out.
>>222000356
I was referring to boomer and Xer retards on protests being more upset about religious imagery used by zoomers than about the governing Progressive/Socialist oligarchs absolutely pumping and dumping this country for all it's got (picrel is an obvious example).
>>222000372
Just like corruption is a problem in every country, but you would obviously never move to the Congo or something. Hell, in your cunt real estate has been rapidly falling as far as I know. And in the Americas houses are 4-7 years of average income, not 20+ like in the Balkans.

Why are you so upset? Don't burst a blood vessel, Christ.
>in your cunt 50k is eight months of median income, in Serbia six years.
Yes, the numbers of American salaries are high than they are in Serbia. Proportionally things in America (including housing) are more expensive. I wish I could find an apartment that size for 250k USD, but in reality it would be closer to 500k (and that's excluding any major cities, in NYC or Boston an apartment like that would easily be over a million USD).
I don't understand why it's so common for people on this board to argue and compare prices between countries without taking into account the different costs of living/income/etc. Probably because it requires taking a moment to think rather than just banging out an angry reply on your keyboard like an ape.
>>
>>222000612
>I don't understand why it's so common for people on this board to argue and compare prices between countries without taking into account the different costs of living
Brother, I am incredibly sorry, but your cunt tree is way cheaper than anything in the Balkans when it comes to cost of living. Except maybe Jew York or Commiefornia. You realise zoomers in Belgrade work menial jobs for 800 euro? How do you think they are supposed to ever afford picrel?
>>
>>222000571
Actually cheap compared to us, wow. Your salaries are higher too. But to be honest that tracks with what everyone is saying about Bulgaria these days, your cunt is like a space shuttle compared to us. A stark difference compared to even 20 years ago. Vucic is purposefully turning Serbia into the Bangladesh of Europe.
>>
>>221999726
The west needs a Mao desu
>>
>>222000815
I mean, this happened in Serbia and the "new occupants" of pre WW2 bougie apartments and villas now by and large support the current governing mafia driving up real estate prices on purpose, which is made up to a large extent of the descendants of socialist era apparatchiks. There's no getting around the fact an elite will eventually crystalise and push for it's own financial interests.
>>222000872
>Is it in some super bogie area
No, in those areas it costs 4500+ euro per square meter, and ironically those areas are sitting empty because they were built next to the Danube which as a raw unfiltered sewage problem, topkek.
>This region has to be the worst income to property price ratio in the world
I've been telling this to people for a long time, almost nobody believes me despite it being a downright mathematical truism. Perhaps coastal China is worse thoughbeit, but that's not a sane benchmark to compare yourself to at all. If you even need to bring it up you're already a failed state.
>>
>>221999726
>spotty electricity due to loadshedding
lmao dude we are a turd world cunt for real. They burned mud instead of coal at the country's biggest power plant and did BILLIONS worth of damage. That's what you get when geriatric parasites systematically vote for Vucic's progressive parasite cadres. Even Argentina is probably a model cunt compared to Sewerbia even, let alone anything more developed.
What bothers me the most though is how this is all seemingly normal to most people, nothing out of the ordinary. That's how you know things are fucking grim. The general population is mostly fine with this shit, except zoomer and millennial chuds but young people are a small minority here.
>>
>>222001435
>The general population is mostly fine with this shit
boomers here are the only major voting block of the ex government. they literally would not give a fuck about any billion euro corruption or scandal because they are too busy watching ai generated propaganda slop telling them about how the ex-gov protects them against migrants or how liberals want to turn everyone into a tranny or something. literally somalia tier people in thinking, i have no idea what could go so wrong with that generation so fast but if you go on hungarian facebook you see these random retired people just posting the dumbest propaganda shit on facebook all day

It's not even about propaganda in Serbia, people here think you are an abject loser if you vote ideologically - and that's proving itself to be true with disenfranchised zoomer neets (literally me) starting a primarily ideological protest movement, but I digress.
Pro government people are either grannies who vote for small "gifts" such as sunflower oil, detergent etc from their parasocial "grandson" Vucic because everyone else has left their toxic asses and doesn't want to take care of them, OR sociopathic Gen Xers who want government no show jobs. They get bussed around on meetings for 20 bucks a day and have to guarantee "capillary votes" to keep their Jewish daycare administrative gig, it is beyond pathetic.

True but you're a Montenegro sized inhospitable desert hellhole with a very very dense population concentrated in a few major cities. Not even remotely comparable to anything in the Balkans imo. Plus, your income to square metre ratio is probably lower. Can't say I'd ever live in Israel despite that though, my condolences truly.
>>222002945
Ausfailia moment, topkek. I bet my ass that house was last sold in the 90s for merely tens of thousands to 100k. I know people from the Serbian community there, they've told me such horror stories I consider you guys a bigger shithole than us now despite the contrast between your "affluence" on paper and our comically corrupt hybrid regime that wages a war on it's own youth and future.

>20-25x average income
Depends on the city. In 1kk cities it would something like ~6 years of average income for the cheapest shittiest thing you can find. If we talk about monthly income then it's around x70-72
In Moscow and SPB these numbers are quadripled probably.

Not here.

Housing prices even in the biggest cities have been going down for 4 years now. In some low-mid sized cities that aren't growing, you can get an apartment for the price of a car. In some places, you can get an apartment for 1€.
>>
>>222003285

552/€ a month foe 58m2 shoebox where you can hear your neighbor fuck. 20k for the apartment itself. its hell.
>>
>>222003609
That's still good. I pay 680€ for 47m2 in Berlin
>>
>>221999726
280k€ in Serbia for that? How are your houses so expensive? Why don't they build more houses? That sounds like a lot, here you could buy a much nicer apartment for the same price
>>
>>221999726

>>

>>
>>222003849
>Why don't they build more houses?
It never affects the price. Never.
We have tons upon tons of new housing being build. But the prices are always growing.
>>
>>222003285
Rural houses like this used to cost only a few thousand euros before 2022, just for perspective. We wouldn't have been able to sell my wattle and daub family home for a few thousand in my dead wilage, now we've been getting offers over 25k but my dad will never sell, thank God.
>>
>>222003285
Those seem like finnish prices. On a serbian income, it seems like a lot

>>222003902
What do you mean? What happens to the new houses? Investors buy all of them? If you build enough, then surely housing shortage has to turn into over supply
>>
>>222003553
Remote work is barely a thing anywhere, Larry Fink and co made it a thing of the past already... guy is just baiting as always on this website. Either that or he genuinely has no idea how dire the unemployment is in Serbia. Even major cities have next to no jobs for the youth, let alone the rural shithole in fucking Bela Crkva where houses like that were 10k or less just a few years ago anyway bro as the other guy said.
>>222003902
Russia has the same problem as Serbia fundamentally - only two cyberpunk urban agglomerations are actually growing and have jobs, and everybody with any money only invests in domestic real estate and barely ever considers foreign stocks or whatever. The result is near infinite demand for new housing in the two most relevant cities, Moscow and St. Petersburg or Belgrade and Novi Sad here which are quickly merging into one giant neo-Cairo cyberpunk qasaba.
>>
>>222003962
>Investors buy all of them?
Probably, I don't know. There was also a case for a long time with preferential mortgage. When certain groups of people can get much lower percent (6% or 5%) for a mortgage. Which boosted prices even more up.
>then surely housing shortage has to turn into over supply
Right now demand is getting lower. Even developer companies (which probably made x100 on their poor quality overpriced shit) crying to the government that they will go bankrupt if it won't change.
But lowering price? LMAO no, they refuse to do so. They only make the price higher.
>>
>>222003973
It actually happens everywhere here. Even in small cities the prices are high in comparison to local salaries. And even there some new buildings are being built.
It's like Moscow and SPB >>>>> over 1kk cities >>> medium cities >> small cities
>>
>>222004025
>much lower percent (6% or 5%) for a mortgage
Isn't the normal interest rate for a mortgage something crazy in Russia? +20%? Sounds like a lot, especially if the house price to income ratio is much higher than here. I mean we get 3-4% interest rates
>>
>>222004165
>+20%?
Yes. 23-26% usually. And the prices are in the space. So the demand is getting lower just because most of the people cannot afford it at all.
>>
>>221999726
Not super expensive to rent but takes forever to find anything
Buying is basically sodomy though
