Do people in your country spend their entire life savings to buy a house in a village thinking they will be closer to nature and individualistic noble savages only to find out that villages are the most collectivist inbred shitholes full of pettiness and malice and they are so detached from nature that they are as clueless about it as any urbanite?
>>222048237no those kind of people get their houses in villages full of ther urbanites
>>222048342So yes?
>>222048237No, people imc tend to want to buy a cottage in the middle of nowhere because of Puritan norms condensing the family model. It's changing in Europe too, things like extended families or arranged marriages are so far gone unless you're talking about the Balkans. Although I will say I lived the rural community life at one point, there's a lot of internal family politics, pointless functions, even more pointless disputes, and worst of all the women tend to take control over social functions. I don't miss it. Like not showing up to your third cousin's wedding causes problems with that end of the family, they fight over it and continue fighting even after they forgot what the original problem was.
That sounds like those stories about people who moved to Japan and were surprised to find that there are social norms they need to followIn any case, we don’t have that here yet, although there have been stories of wealthy city dwellers who moved to the countryside and called the police because someone was working in the fields and it was noisy in the morning, or because they were bothered by the smell of cow dung and animals
