I returned from India (went to Uttar Pradesh) two days ago and I'm feeling terrible. I got a gastroenteritis and a sinusitis all at once, I have fever, I'm vomiting and having so much diarrhea, my nose is extremely congested and I'm coughing nonstop, I can't even sleep due to that.

I'm pretty shure this has something to do with the air I breathed and the food I ate, I never felt so bad, I'm usually very resistant and used to travel to such exotic countries but this time it is really ending me.

How do Indians even survive in such a place? It's kinda admirable to be honest.

Sorry to hear that lad. You may have been bitten. If you find yourself fearful of showers, craving curry, or wanting to shit in public it may be too late and you might have to end it. Here's hoping that doesn't happen you get well though.

You're turning into an Indian. Expect to start bobbing your head randomly, become shorter, and get slightly less poor and brown over the coming months.

Fucking hell that sounds awful, sorry man. Why did you even go to India in the first place?
>>
>>222051371
Is this a hygiene issue or the environment in India is simply extreme?

I'm a Protestant missionary so I travel around the World a lot. I went to many countries in Africa, Asia and Oceania.

What the fuck were you thinking going to that place? I bet its more safe to go inside Chernobyl Power Plant 4th Block without any gear than go to India

So where did you eat exactly? I suppose even you knew street food is mostly poisonous, even here, so you sticked with restaurants.
>>
>>222051862

you must have eaten street food
this is why foreigners should only have food in fancy restaurants in India
>How do Indians even survive in such a place?
you get used to it when you have never visited any other country
>>
>>222052246

ive heard that is just normal for everyone that travels to india and stays there for more than a few days. eventually you get a load of bacteria, protozoa and viruses that your body has never met before and it will give you the diarrhoea of your life. this is why smart india travellers always have metronidazol and azithromycin in their luggage and take it immediately when theyr stomach feels just a little bit upset or even proactively.

indians encounter local pathogens in their childhood already when the infections are less severe and then they build up specific b and t cells and antibodies, so its less of an issue for them later on.

a westerner on the other hand has never encountered giardia lamblia or campylobacter jejuni in his life and has 0 immunity to it and because adult immune systems react a lot more violently than child immune systems its often a very heavy illness that results.

the upside for the brazilian is, for his next visit in india, he will already have some immunities. he will get sick again, but the list of possible bugs will now be shorter than before.
