It's not really a "European bread". There are many types of bread. And I don't even know if other Slavs do the same bread as on the pic.
Here we call it кapaвaй (karavai). It's usually made on some celebrations. It can be smaller, it can be bigger.

Definitely sounds like pic.
How do you guys eat it? Do you put something on top, dip it in coffee, milk.. ?
>>
>>222079024
Idk much. I've probably seen one only in childhood. It's used mostly for marriage celebrations nowadays and more like just a tradition thing.
Probably just tear the pieces of it and eat with tea.
>>
>>222078552
We also make them, hell you can pretty much buy them in every bakery.
>>
I like french bread
The rest of europe can't into bread or into food at all for all I care
Except for the latin countries perhaps, anyway I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
>>
>>222079024
this is not a bread, this is a pastry
unc's put butter on a slice of it and it's usually eaten with coffee.

If you ever had good pâté flavoured with armagnac on a freshly baked bread you wouldn't say that.

Like homemade bread, kinda dry. It's not sweet like brioche. You could compare it to a galette des rois however, in that there's sometimes a hidden coin in it. I've seen orthodox Serbs eat it in January and they pass it around and kiss the loaf one by one. I find it quite disgusting
>>
>>222076148
arab bread is used for doner here so it's pretty good
>>
Actually scandinavians have flat bread for example Flatbrød and Knekkebrød
>>
>>222076148
There is no bread in this picture
>>
>>222076148
Thats Indian bread, Arab bread like that would be thinner and used to cover rice or wrap shawarma. For normal bread we have pita and kaaek, and I would forgo any other kind of bread to eat kaaek for the rest of my life.
