Have you actually used tools to create something in your country? If so, what was it and when was it?
>>222154420I've made components out of copper sheets and wire for my models if that counts
>>222154420I've build a wooden fence and porch at my parents house but its like nothing fancy simplest things
>>222154440Pics? >>222154449Nice
>>222154420I built our coffetable and the island in the kitchen, a counter, enclosed a pasture for our goats, built henhouses, several guitar amplifiers and speaker cabinets. Mostly electronics and woodworking.
>>222154473this is a diorama I finished up awhile ago that I posted on /m/ I scratch built the base, table, and tool rack
>>222154528
>>222154482How did you learn to do all that?
>>222154528>>222154544Holy shit that's awesome!
i made my own midi keyboard with polyphony since nobody is selling one in my country
>>222154565thank you :) I just wish I had more cats to paint
>>222154578I love cats>>222154575What's polyphony? Does that mean the keyboard has the sound generator?
>>222154555I grew up around people doing woodworking and I went to school for electronics. I've got a house and a small shop with some tools and mostly I just use common sense. I'm not great at it or anything but I can make functional and durable stuff. I am really in to playing guitar but not into paying thousands of dollars to have the amps I want so I learned a good bit about vacuum tube audio circuits, which are much easier to build than more modern solid state or digital designs. I did have to do a lot of reading when I built my bass cab because there is a lot to go into those to make them have the extended low frequency response. Guitar cabs are much easier.
>>222154612lol same
>>222154615Here is a picture of my guitar amp and speaker cabinet. I also made the ugly thing on the top left which is a preamp for distortion. The thing on the top right is something I bought.Picture taken on an old potato.
>>222154615Out of all the skills you learned what is the most useful
>>222154643I'd say woodworking/carpentry because I have an old house that I like to modify to my inclinations. Being able to take out a wall and make it a bar or whatever and not have to pay some one for labor is great. Plus if we ever need some simple piece of furniture, I can do it.Electronics is also handy but too much stuff is not meant to be repaired anymore.
clogwog thread
>>222154528>>222154544Cool
>>222154704thank you :)
>>222154528do bigger projects anon and post in this board
>>222155427lol I have another one in mind but it's not as big. dioramas kids nda take a lot of effort. I have an idea for a smaller scene though.
>>222155959>kids nda*kind of
>>222154420I built a 'retard charger' out of a doorbell transformer and four diodes. because my "9 stage smart" charger would only charge perfectly good batteries. It's rescued like seven motorcycle batteries and one car battery that the Brain box wouldn't even try to fix.no pictures. but here's the green light I got from the battery tender after charging one and letting it sit for a week.
>>222154420I have used tools to create buildings. Pic related is one building I used tools to create.
pray for Ukraine.
>>222154420Yeah, many things. I built simple pieces of furniture, shelves, I customed my home's entrance with wood paneling I painted, I customed many pieces of furniture (sanding, painting, adding new materials), I also customed my terrace with wood / slabs. I do small crafts like mosaic and other stuff as well.
>>222154528>>222154544And meanwhile I have absolutely no talents.
>>222154420Nothing proper just a really really simple trellis and that kind of crap... Would never think of taking out a wall like you guys lol.
I've mainly just fixed things and glued them together with various glues due to stubbornly wanting to use everything until the very end of its lifespan. much to the dismay of globohomo, I hate shopping and I hate how new products tend to be of worse quality, as the world continues its decline towards chinkshit
>>222154420I built a Morse code key from a set of schematics in an amateur radio magazine. It's the thing you use to send Morse code signals. I thought it would help motivate me to learn Morse code, which it kind of did. I was also working on a old rusty shotgun at the same time, which is somewhat visible at the top of the image, but that device had other problems and didn't quite get fixed.

>>222161027Juhani what's wrong with You?
>>222154420Yes I fix military aircraft for a living
>>222158721Without the Internet and electricity you find something interesting to do with your hands rather quickly. You just need a pause to a constant stimulation of your brain. After that you can go to the web to actually look up tips and tricks.
>>222161094Oh also as for things I make outside of work I like to draw
Thinking of building an RTG or a nuclear reactor.
>>222161130that's really good anon
>>222154420its my job to use tools to create something.
