it is too late to move to Quebec? i know a little bit o french
>>222206232Our housing market is giga fuckedIf you want to move anyway learn french first before moving and vote yes at the independence referendum
>Quebecyou mean montreal? or like out in the boonies?
>>222206277>Our housing market is giga fuckednot much different from here, a 23m2 studio go for almost 100k USD.>>222206280i'm a city dweller so probably Montreal or any decent size city.
>>222206232hello I am also know little frenchhe is name jean petit and from the lille
>>222206305>23m2 studio go for almost 100k USDYou literally cannot buy anything in Canada for 100k. 200k-300k USD will get you a shitty apartment.
>>222206323No his REAL name is Jan Klein and he's from RIJSEL
>>222206232You need to be fluent in French before they even consider letting you in.Would be easier to try to become a temporary foreign worker and work at farms for a bit. Unless you're well educated, of course. If you're a doctor or a lawyer, it's way easier to get in.
>>222206433You can probably find a house for 200k in bumfuck nowhere Northern Ontario. Like anywhere north of Timmins. But then you're at least a couple hours away from Timmins, which is a pretty shit city in the first place. We live 2 hours west of Ottawa. Our house is worth $400k, but when my wife bought it 8 years ago it was worth $200k.
>>222206528Didn’t they deport a literal Frenchman for not being able to pass their citizenship test IN FRENCH?>>222206566I was just in Montréal. What the fuck is with your roads. There were so many fucking potholes. Otherwise, it was pretty fun and I enjoyed being able to practice my French. I hope I get to visit Quebec City one day
>>222206707I am the same guy you replied to for both posts.I haven't heard the thing about the Montreal guy being deported for not speaking French. But it's not a surprise. They have extremely strict language laws. It's the only place in the world where KFC is PFK.The roads are mostly shit due to the cold winters. But also construction companies are very corrupt in Quebec. So that could have something to do with the quality of the roads.Don't visit Quebec City. That's a part of Quebec where they won't speak English to you even if they know it. It's just something they do 'cuz they're butthurt.
>>222206763>Don't visit Quebec City. That's a part of Quebec where they won't speak English to you even if they know it. It's just something they do 'cuz they're butthurt.M’en fiche. C’est ma responsabilité d’apprendre et de parler leur langue, pas l’inverse. Cependant, il y a avait des tourists qui ne parlaient ni anglais ni français Overall, the québécois were extremely friendly and helpful when I tried to engage with them. I even bought some books in French to help me. They seemed surprised that an American even bothered to learn some French in the first place
>>222206707>What the fuck is with your roadsQuebec government is incompetent and they give contracts to bottom of the barrel developers that use inferior materials.
>>222206965Not gonna lie, it felt very thirdie core and surreal. I still think Montreal mogs a lot of our cities. I tried some of your maple syrup at a cabane à sucre but I didn’t think it was really anything to write home about
>>222206996Montreal is nice, but Quebec is a dump
>>222206277>vote yes at the independence referendumYou guys aren't getting the hydro power or the resources, those belong to the chugs
>>222207015??????what are you on about?
>>222206879>They seemed surprised that an American even bothered to learn some French in the first placeIronically enough I've experienced the opposite and that they're use to having Americans and anglophone Canadians practice their french with them
>>222206232is quebec outside of montreal white enough?
>>222207064To be fair, I didn’t go off the grid and mostly stayed in Old Montréal. Some would literally start speaking English to me before I even opened my mouth. I’m not fat, nor was I dressed like your typical Amerifatt so I doubt they knew I was American.
>>222206232I lived out there for a bit without knowing any at first and it was mostly fine.
>>222207035Quebecker support for independence drops to 10% whenever you're reminded that Quebec will lose all of its hydro producing territories if you vote to secede
Make sure to bring a few women with bundas
>>222207148I've never been so I don't know where that's at, but I live in New England and I've spoken to a few of them when they come down for vacation. When I asked if people practice their french with them they say all the time and that they don't mind, but wish that people focused on their pronunciation. The American accent doesn't sound very good when speaking French apparently.
>>222207461You sound retarded when speaking
>>222207483That's very rude
