which one are you?
chess is a memory game, not a logic game.
none
i work as a code monke so i guess the second one
>>222208544this is cope because if you're logically smart you would also be academically smartso to answer your question, neither
>>222208544Both
>>222208574Mechanical use of logic is different than memorizing. Same goes with pattern recognition and analysis, just because you notice a pattern doesn't mean you understand how it works.
>watermarkfuck off
>>222208553arithmetic too
>>222208553It's a logic game for the first months or year you start learning it, memorizing openings and patterns the rest. It's like learning the basic multiplication table as a kid, you don't calculate using logic anymore, you just recall the result.
>>222208544
>>222208656academic performance hinges on more than just memorization
>>222208544i am math-smart, but i am language-retarded
>>222208923It depends on the school
>>222208544logically dumb and academically retarded because essays exist
>>222208544how about being socially smart and actually making it instead of jerking off with imaginary nonsense
>>222208544being right is cope
No, I’m completely retarded. If I lived during the Third Reich doctors would have no doubt euthanized me.
>>222208544top-right is izaat farming like solving a rubix cube in 3s
>>222208544where do professional gamblers fit in?
>>222209074Amusing, simple geometric abstractions are more interesting and have greater value than other human beings.
>>222208544Academically smart actually makes money
>>222208544Academically retarded.Certified.
>>222208544Both because nobody who plays sudoku for fun is getting failing grades
>>222209591of course that would never happen haha
>>222208574What if you just cant focus while sitting still? My biggest problem in school, to this day, is that i cant just sit still for ~8 hours a day. Its torture and i get tired and lose focus. I can do well academically, when im allowed to learn in short, sporadic bursts focused on a single subject over 1 month rather than 4 subjects over 4 months. But school isnt structured that way, its structured for people who learn best when sitting still in a classroom full of other kids. Aka neurotypical females. It makes me so fucking mad because i can depe dive into incredibly boring hobbies like plotting bird species on PCA graphs, or spending hours autistically refining a model of a fission reaction until its perfect, but actually just grinding and memorizing to do that shit every day for years? I would rather kill myself. I should have been born in a time when upper class men were taught one on one by a mentor, rather than forced into public schools.
>>222208544Academic midwitLogically dumb
>>222208574>if you're logically smart you would also be academically smartNot really. I mean yes, but you have to do something to achieve good grades. If you do and learn nothing, you will pass just as a mid.
Why is it different smart? Any examples of this? In my mind it's the same smart, math is just logic and following rules, physics the same. Academically gifted people just memories shit they don't like, and memoriesing properly is logical problem.
>>222209392based and mathpilled
>>222208544I am retardant smart
>>222208553Its both
>>222208656you're actually just stupid. academic performance is very strongly correlated with g
>>222210666Nigga, our class valedictorian was the dumbest, least erudite, absolute brainlet of a midwit foid who was just extremely neurotic about grades cus her daddy may get upset.
>>222209907>Any examples of this?there aren't. it's cope by OP. if you have high IQ you can learn new things much more quickly and find ways to apply learned procedures to test cases more easily so doing well academically is easy.
>>222210690and what about the people who had the highest math final exam scores? and what about GPA during undergrad, master's? what about top venue papers during PhD?
>>222209907>>222210703Academics is not the same as learning capacity, most gifted kids become troublemakers because the school system is bullshit meant to drag everyone down to the lowest common denominator
>>222208544The picture is retarded, either you're smart or you're not. To get good grades you either have to be smart and absorb the material easily, or you have to study for a long time. To be good at problem solving and pattern recognition but bad at school means you're smart but a lazy fuck that didn't study enough
I'm g-loaded
>>222210807Thank you for the reminder... sincerely a class clown who has gotten a flashback
