This is my dilemma. On the one hand, I studied Spanish somewhat casually for 2 years when with my Colombian ex-gf and became pretty good with it, and still remember a fair bit of it even a year later. Plus I just think it's the most beautiful language in the world and I would love to visit Latin America. Also, there are far more Spanish speakers in my city than Portuguese ones. On the other hand, my girlfriend is Brazilian (yeah I can't leave the Latinas alone). I actually tried learning Portuguese for a few weeks but found it much more difficult than Spanish and I kept confusing things between the languages because they're similar in so many ways but also different. I would prefer to keep learning Spanish but she'd be pissed if I found out because 1) it's not her language, and 2) she'd think it's because I'm still interested in dating/fucking around with Spanish-speaking Latinas (the stereotype of them being notoriously jealous is very true).What do you guys think?
