what is life like in this country?
>>
they live in poverty and delulu
>send stalin to persecute russians and 100 other ethnic groups

my russian friend has been living in Batumi since 2022 and he says georgians are so consumed by propaganda they are unable to focus on improving their country

how unsafe is it? im looking for a cheap country to move to but i need it to be safe id hate to end up like some liam neeson film kidnapped by georgian gangsters just because im a foreigner.

im not changing residecny, im moving simply to reduce my cost of living. i can live very comfortably on 12k euro a year in georgia where as that wouldnt even cover my rent for a year in a shitty apartment in bumfuck nowhere norway.
>>
>>222305837
Money can buy most of those things in Georgia. They have competent private doctors. And no offense but eastern euros really don't understand the value proposition of having a safe comfy place to live and sacrificing a few modern services in return.
>>222305531
>apprently they got amazing bakeries and decent/good restaurants that cost about the same as buying groceries.
Most of eastern Europe is like this. You go buy ćevapi at the store and it's the same price as a mom&pop fast food place.
You sound fairly serious so I would definitely advise you to visit first and for a while if you can. Also the language will be quite difficult for a non native speaker.

Well ideally it would go something like this
>gather up all my cash for my trading account
>do all the prep work i need beforehand on E-sim card etc
>have contact with real estate agents beforehand
>fly down, book a cheap hotel or air bnb
>Look at apartments for 10 days
>figure out which one to rent
>rent it
>live there for a year while i try to increase my trading account while living super minimally. basically rent, bills for utilities and then food and beverages. thats it. it would be a dream come true if the food is so cheap there i can just go out for every meal, local bakery enjoyer, local restaurant enjoyer etc.
im not there to make friends or anything, im simply there to minimize my living expenses to a minimum to avoid siphoning my trading account.

only thing im worried about is safety but it seems people in here are vouching for it being a safe place to live for a foreigner.

If you're just going to be a shutin who goes out to eat every now and then I don't see you having an issue. Understand you will pay a foreigner tax and in a lot of eastern European countries if you don't have a friend who has a cousin for X thing, it tends to be more expensive than you'd think. Also for any legal stuff that involves paperwork be prepared for culture shock, better yet find someone reliable to do that stuff for you. The safety thing is really non-issue as long as you're not drunk walking down the alleyways with money hanging out of your pockets (even then probably be okay) or riling up a bunch of drunk guys with political discussion you're 99% fine. Also if you find a girl over there and you tell her you love her and want to marry etc, mean that shit, cuz there's a strong chance if you don't her brothers/cousins will come stomp you out.

He’s a bit mad because we keep developing under GD which is supposedly a Russian puppet regime. Yet they haven’t done anything pro Russian since they’ve taken office that propaganda doesn’t work anymore.
In general that seems to trigger a lot of liberals as well since they realize they’re never winning elections unless somehow GD fuck up big time. That’s the kind of things that happen in Georgia.
I don’t really care but politics are entertaining like that in Georgia.
>>

>>222312345
Also to add, what liberals don’t realize is that if they want to win they need to have better opposition better politicians better message boxes. Hating Georgians who don’t agree with them is a big no no.
Hating Georgian culture is a big no no.
Hating Georgian Soviet past is a big no no when there were both bad but also a lot of good.
And so on.

GD and Bidzo just mog them in every way possible
Although of course the opposition at this point is just there so that nobody decent can enter the scene and they can perpetually be in second place and make money by being second behind GD

>Cute women. But to have sex with them, you have to wrestle her 4 brothers and pay their mobsters uncles
In fact, it seems that applies to all ex-USSR states. I watched a video of a few South Korean backpackers traveling in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, and it seemed like the parents wanted their daughters to date those young Korean boys. However, the problem was that it appeared they were forcing you to convert to Islam and accept Central Asian culture in order to date those girls. It was too much.

also you desperately try to bring me into the "liberal" bucket or whatever. i hate you niggas and them equally. the only thing that i respect in a person is competence and work ethic thats it. i had a retarded ass boomer pro-GD gym owner once but i liked that guy much more than any liberal opposition member because he had the work ethic and discpiline to build a profitable business from zero in his 50s. i respect stuff like that. i respect skilled people. no matter what they believe in. this is the reason i don't like majority of Georgians especially the older ones because they are useless scum. still though everything that i said stands.

Your entire argument is headcannon
>you and me both know that whatever development we have right now has nothing to do with these retards.
How? Correct politics especially foreign policy has directly resulted in the development we have right now.
Its directly tied to avoiding the globohomo and gulaghomo shenanigans and we have somehow managed to detach ourselves from their bullshit focusing on ourselves and development.
Without that we’d be a second Ukraine.
Russians also can invade any time they want, they have an army like 20 minutes from Tbilisi but strengthening ties with China utilizing Georgia’s potential as a middle corridor among other things is resulting bit by bit into stabilizing the country.
Of course I’m not saying there aren’t retarded politicians in GD but overall policy has resulted in positive development considering our current geographical circumstances.
Russians are now focused westwards which is a also amusing what goes around comes around.
>>
>>222312655
We just got lucky that Russians chimped out. All the assets diverted from there and came in here. I will give you one thing that GD didn't oppose this and actively helped the growth but that wasnt anything impressive it was just good luck that our northern neighbour's leadership is even more retarded. The real structural changes that help country accumulate wealth long term did not happen we still dont have free courts, we still have an overly bloated public sector, our institutions are still weak and politicians are still curropt (what happened to garibashvili?). Again and you then start talking about what i said. I agree with you that the only real good argument for this leadership to stay is that in putins eyes bidzo is "his" guy so we wont be invaded in the meantime

Again I didn’t say this. This why you guys always fail with propaganda.
What I said was that by inviting new players into playground it is possible to balance interests so they neutralize each other out meanwhile for us only bringing benefits.
Countries have interests, If Russia sees an opportunity it doesn’t matter who is at the helm they will devour you. It’s the same for other countries around us.

>>
>>222313337
You'd be better off going to Georgia than some poor country in Asia like Vietnam. I think the prices will be roughly the same, except the housing costs will be more expensive in Georgia due to recent russian immigration. The people will be much more accepting of foreigners also and you won't stick out as a sour thumb as much as in East Asia
>>
>>222313622
>I mean tons of you guys from Peter and Moscow have sold apartments over there and bought apartments here
It's an indication that people sold their apartments in Moscow and bought something in Georgia indeed. Yet it has nothing to do with most of Georgians fucking off to Moscow and Krakow to drive taxis. Those two different things from 2 different dimensions have 0 correlation.
>>
>>222313631
The housing costs are not that easy to ignore, yeah.
Also, no disrespect to Georgia, but most people prefer sun, beaches, sea and not mountains.
>>
>>222313662
Georgian immigration to Poland is overstated. Compared to especially Ukrainians there's few Georgians in Poland. And most of those are immigrating somewhere else more westwards to make actual money.
As for Russia especially after the war started rather than people going there its Russians and Georgians both running from there.
Although when it comes to central asians those are indeed prevalent. Georgians don't really go to Russia anymore.
>>

>>222313836
>Why do you think Georgians are angry people?
At first their country was fucked by Bolsheviks then Russians fucked them up in 2008 beyond repair and now shittons of Muscovites came there and drove rent prices to the skies. I have no idea why anyone who isn't desperate and has skills above a janitor would go there.

Definition of what Europe is constantly stretches eastwards and now goes up to Urals (wasn't always like this, Slavs were seen as oriental in general), I am fairly sure Georgians will become full-on part of Europe in 100 to 200 years and if you slightly disagree with that, the future /int/ will post Von der Leyen memes about monitoring the situation, HIV replies etc while 4chan feeds your location and drones your ass for questioning the EU.

I don't know why but I sort of respect the Georgians. They are not crybabies, at least their posters here. They are cool, relaxed, chill and even allowed some Russians in despite the recent war which to me is weirdly tolerant, but shows they don't think solely with their dick.
Except their one butthurt-only poster who is not even Georgian but Azeri posting under their flag.
Anyways, I don't share the same respect for the butthurt belt, a rather cultureless blob of countries who think they are based for hating Russia but for example, invading Czechoslovakia in 1968 under Russian orders while Yugoslavs opposed it. The based anti-Russian terminators mind you. Very feminine countries.

I know a Brit who moved his business here because of low taxes. He’s doing fine. The only thing he was annoyed about was our driving license test. He failed it twice, even though he had passed it easily in the UK. He hated the city driving test most. Just something to keep in mind, I know few foreigners who had the same complaints.
Also, don’t expect top-tier healthcare, education, roads, etc., like you have in Norway. We will get there eventually, but not in the near future.

Just my two cents, it’s pretty obvious that Georgia is next on the block for Russia. Europe has given up on Georgia, and I don’t think they could do anything to save you if they even wanted to. Europe will string you along, but will put absolutely zero skin in the game other than token sanctions. Armenia seems to have come to grips with this fact, but it feels like it’s gonna have to take Georgians learning the hard way when the Ukraine war ends.

The leadership there seems to understand this, but actual Georgians will probably rebel against this and Putin knows this. Maybe he’s fine with a compliant government there, but I’m not even sure that’s a guarantee anymore. He seems like he wants to consolidate his gains and solidify his borders. Belarus is just a puppet and he’s just going to absorb them.
