But we also ape the US just as much. We ape others to guide ourselves in a better direction so we can catch up. But at our core we are defined by our catholicism, historic grudges, hyper vigilence when it comes to outside threats which results in xenophobia and dislike of certain countries including Germany which is ironic, inferioroty complex and our anti-imperialist nationalism. I think our mentality is very much Eastern European.
