what makes Mexicans so vegetarian?
we are against animal abuse and factory farming
>>222360714likewise. I am not mexican but I find mexican food works well for my vegetarian lifestyle and feels less foreign than indian food.
>>222360900yeah many mexican dishes can be made with or without meat and still taste delicious
>>222360614cola is vegetarian
There's a lot of good vegetarian dishes but I always figured thirdies are mostly vegetarian because they can't afford meat.
>>222360900How can you build muscle without protein?
>>222361112is that really true in 2026? like maybe in Africa but I've been to SEA and they had cheap canned ham in normal markets. meat isn't a luxury that you have to buy special from a butcher anymore.
>>222361209They eat lots of beans and grains
>>222361209I don't really care about building muscle. I’ve got a classic lean, cardio body from cycling everywhere. I do eat a full can of beans every day because it’s so cheap, that gives me about 24g of protein. I usually stop tracking after that, but I add some cheese to my rice and beans, so I’m probably getting around 35-40g total per day. Not sure how much rice would add, but I eat a lot of it.
>>222360614Mexibro cuisine has sustained me so far and provided an excellent alternative to my own cuisine. Thanks chicanobros>t.jeetI actually like the taste of impossible burgers. I wish there weren't as many chemicals in it
You have to be some kind of masochist to be a vegan here
>>222361209they eat small amounts of meat and eggs alongside beans
>>222361453Yeah but the protein in your dishes could be easily replaced by beans and mashed potatoes and this just as good because it's the seasoning that does most of the heavy lifting.
coca cola is a vegetable
>>222361453and you are a weeb
>>222361887
Mexicans really are the jeets of non-jeets
God-tier cuisines for a vegetarian:mexicanindianmediterranean east asians were blessed with high protein tofu but they insist on adding fish/pork to everything.
>>222361887nature's splenda
>>222361865Actually eggs are cheap, which are vegetarian but not vegan.
>>222362322chilaquiles are goated
>>222362335I like them when they are crunchy, once they sog they are not good for me
>>222361209I don't agree that vegetarians are optimally, efficiently capable of building muscle mass, but a smart vegetarian diet geared towards muscle building would still have protein.
>>222362335I prefer my cornmeal as a creamy easily digestible mush. It's cheaper than oats, pairs well with eggs, and goes great with savory vegetables.
das rite, quelites are part of my meal, I barely eat any meat ( that includes fish ). But I wasn't like that all the time, I just simply stopped buying meat like 2 years ago. Every day even less, because it had no flavor to me. What I find weird is that I find goat and chicken more appetizing, but its really hard to find goat here, unless you wanna kill the animal yourself. So I just eat beans and tortillas, not because I don't have enough money, but that's tastier than beef or pork ( may be because we import it from the U.S.A and it has no flavor )
UH OHHHHH...
Beans and tortillas are a goat combination, but beans make me constipated. Papa con huevo for me. Good shit with some tomatoes and calabacita.
>>222362833throw some salsa on that and that's a great brekkie
I like to eat steamed chayotes with oaxaca cheese
>>222362864Are those like tomatillos?
>>222362885nope, that's where you get luffas from, excep these are like younger before turning into a luffa
>>222360614Mexicans and Brazilians are special because corn and beans actually makes an almost complete proteinThe Aztecs and etc did very well managing nutrition, that's how they got to the feudal empire stage with wood and bone tools
>>222361209What do you mean "without protein"? Just use a supplement. Soy protein isolate is about as good a source of protein as whey powder and it's 100% vegan. No serious athlete nowadays gets all their protein just from what they eat normally anyway.
>>222362916>that faceBros, how can we compete?...
>>222361453True but at the same time I am going vegetarian for weeks at a time right now using up my vast reserves of refried beans with tortillas, cheese and sour cream to save money. Though that's a lie because the brand I'm using uses lard in the beans, and sometimes I eat a tuna sandwich to boost the protein intake. Still it's pretty decent nutrition if a little hard on the gut, I could probably just get the "vegetarian" refried beans and butter the tortillas before filling them for the same effect. I'm also drinking more milk. Corn, beans, and dairy is a really good budget dietary base.
>>222362711Americanos don't season they raw beef
>>222362940Vegetarians mog vegans so damn hardEggs, dairy, whey powder, honey, and you don't have to bottom
>>222362940talking about soy, I ate some tacos made out of soy. I didn't they were soy, but since I used to sell dried up soy bags, this girl from the restaurant told me that she was glad I ate my own product. I wonder what she meant.>the tacos anon, on 13th street are made out of soy>what? really>yes, the avocado leaf and the steam makes them taste like meat
>>222363035I tried being vegan but it just requires so much cooking and so much eating.I hate the taste of meat and factory farming is abhorrent.I do realize that milk/eggs comes from animals that suffered though. sometimes I wonder if I should just eat wild caught fish? They suffer, but only for a few moments. They don't live their whole lives in an industrial, unnatural setting surrounded by often cruel people.
>>222362885They're a type of squash. For the price, too bland.
>>222363062>I tried being veganMy condolences, I hope your brain heals soonProtip: most herd animals had a pretty shitty time in the wild, that's why they became herd animalsNature is mostly just carefully trying to survive, nothing sacred about it
>>222363115beyond feeling empathy for animals, I cannot spiritually ascend if my body is a graveyard. Even if it's natural, I reject it. I don't rape women just because I find them attractive.
>>222362833ejotes con huevo > papa con huevo > crucetas con huevo
I can afford a kilo of delicious ejotes, but I like keeping it humble.
>>222362916chayotes are not luffas
>>222363035Do vegans necessarily have to bottom?
have you guys tried flor de izote?my mom used to make a soup with these white flowers
Eating seed oil considered as one?
>>222363137Just get some chickens and don't treat them like shit, which is super easy. I have a dozen and more eggs than I could ever eat. They run around eating bugs and seeds all day long, have a safe place to spend the night with nice comfy roosts, and a dog to protect them from getting ripped to shreds by a raccoon or something. I get to eat their delicious eggs and they get to live in chicken paradise. Are you going to tell me that's unfair?
takis are vegan o algo
>>222363967I don't think you can survive eating only seed oil
