When Japanese people see this, do they understand the long and colorfull history of catholics, shias, protestants, sunnis, hindus, pretty much every religion outside that narrow corner of east asia having gone out of its way to shit on and desecrate the idols of the other?Or do they simply see a foreigner being a vandal, breaking some universal japanese taboo that the entire planet knows, agrees, and even cares about?
