I listened to everyone saying how great European cities are, and visited most of the major ones over a couple trips, and yeah they are pretty for sure. Then I moved to NYC, and like yeah it's pretty impressive, but honestly I think I only moved to cities because I'm told they are good. I like being in nature, and having more space, and not having to cram into a bus or subway to get somewhere, and not having to pay huge rents. I think small towns, or suburbs with access to a city are the best places to live TBQHMF4C.

I can't relate. I like being close to civilization. American cities are very diverse and violent, so of course you don't get the true cozy city experience like you would in an Asian megacity.
Also, cities allow nature to flourish.

I have never met anyone who says they don't like cities, I have only seen this opinion on 4chan. I do know people who complain about this and that city and/or people living in it, but I've never met anyone saying they even prefer the countryside to cities.
The reason is cities, peri-urban towns and villages are just not the same. I know people who come from the deepest most remote part of the country (3 inhab. hamlet) who handle just fine living in the big metropolis. Not the same experience, you adapt is all. How you feel about it is meaningless.

not op but american cities are genuinely awful and most lack the cozy walkable aspect that old european cities and asian megacities have. you can't even leave a bike locked up outside without it getting stolen, you can't order DoorDash or get amazon packages for fear of theft, carjackings are not uncommon, it's not uncommon to hear about uber drivers getting shot in the head for asking a 14 year old scholar to exit their car, not to mention everything in a corner store is locked up, and most stores even in the cities close after 9pm.
the most peaceful I ever felt was in Kuala Lumpur where you only heard the muffled sound of traffic at night, no gunshots.

All types of settlements are bad, humans should live kilometers apart

I hate cities in my country, anything above 10k people is too much

living in a city is pretty comfy desu

LITERALLY every single person in this world says this. Why do you think you're something special?

I have seen this pic so many times. I wonder if it's the same guy who posts it or if it is just a very popular stock image.
>suburbs
Aren't suburbs in the USA hilariously far removed from any amount of nature?

When I was in university we had a field trip to Sweden. One guy in my group was born in city X, never moved much outside of it and has no desire to ever leave it. He also stated that he felt somewhat uneasy in the swedish countryside. This was really weird for me.
