The hadith about the jinn that looked like the men of al-zutt is an inauthentic hadith that is misattributed to ibn masʼud, That report is subject to criticism in terms of both its text and its chain of narration.

Ibn Kathīr (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“It contains extreme strangeness.” from Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr (7/293).

The basis of its strangeness is likely that it contradicts what Imām Muslim narrated (450) from ‘Alqamah, from ‘Abdullāh ibn Mas‘ūd, who said: “I was not present on the night of the jinn with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and I wish I had been with him.”

As for the chain of narration, it is from the narration of ‘Amr al-Bikālī, and most scholars hold that he did not have a companionship [with the Prophet]. Al-Bukhārī explicitly stated that he is not known to have heard from Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him).

The researchers of Al-Musnad said:
“Its chain is weak. ‘Amr al-Bikālī — whose kunyah is Abū ‘Uthmān — his hearing of this narration from Ibn Mas‘ūd is not established. Al-Bukhārī said in Al-Tārīkh Al-Ṣaghīr (1/203): ‘It is not known that ‘Amr heard from Ibn Mas‘ūd.’ However, Abū Ḥātim said in Al-Marāsīl (p. 119): ‘He narrated from Ibn Mas‘ūd the ḥadīth of the night of the jinn.’ As for this ‘Amr, there is disagreement regarding his companionship [with the Prophet], and the majority hold that he did not have companionship, and no endorsement of his reliability is reported from anyone…”.

The hadith even with its weak chains, there are stronger reports that contradict it like for example, sahih muslim says neither Abdullah ibn Masʼud nor anyone was with prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the night of the jinn.
So, not only is there weakness in the chain but also stronger narrations contradict the notion that anyone accompanied prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on this night.

>According to five hadiths in Sahih Muslim, Muhammad once plainly instructed the daughter (or wife -- sources are unclear) of a companion named Suhail to suckle a "grown-up" freedman named Salim so that Salim would become the daughter's mahram, or a relation whom the daughter could no longer marry, and thus render Salim's cohabitation with the family appropriate and legal.[1]

Why did Muhammad give such weird advice?

Muslim Scholars said that this narration is weak and not authentic in terms of chain of narration and transmission. The chain of transmission of the narration is: Abu Tamima told me on the authority of Amr. Perhaps al-Bakali said: Amr told him on the authority of Abdullah ibn Masoud. Amr al-Bakali did not hear from Abdullah ibn Masoud, so the hadith is interrupted and disconnected. Al-Bukhari said: Amr is not known to have heard from Ibn Masoud. This is an indication by al-Bukhari of the narration being weakened, because Amr al-Bakali not hearing from Ibn Masoud means interruption and disconnected. interruption is a defect that casts doubt on the chain of transmission of the narration. For this reason, scholars said that the narration is weak.
Ibn Kathir said: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad and he said: It contains extreme strangeness and weakness in the narration. The investigators of Musnad al-Imam Ahmad weakened the narration and said: Its chain of transmission is weak and they wrote an explanation of the hadith in the margin saying that the meaning of “yarkab” RODE is crowding around the Messenger.
What also indicates the weakness of the narration is that Ibn Masoud himself said that he was not with the Prophet, on the night of the jinn In Sahih Muslim Sunan Abi Dawood.

Dawud reported from 'Amir who said:
I asked 'Alqama if Ibn Mas'ud was present with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the night of the Jinn (the night when the Prophet met them). He (Ibn Mas'uad) said: No, but we were in the company of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) one night and we missed him. We searched for him in the valleys and the hills and said. He has either been taken away (by jinn) or has been secretly killed. He (the narrator) said. We spent the worst night which people could ever spend. When it was dawn we saw him coming from the side of Hiri'. He (the narrator) reported. We said: Messenger of Allah, we missed you and searched for you, but we could not find you and we spent the worst night which people could ever spend. He (the Holy Prophet) said: There came to me an inviter on behalf of the Jinn and I went along with him and recited to them the Qur'an. He (the narrator) said: He then went along with us and showed us their traces and traces of their embers. They (the Jinn) asked him (the Holy Prophet) about their provision and he said: Every bone on which the name of Allah is recited is your provision. The time it will fall in your hand it would be covered with flesh, and the dung of (the camels) is fodder for your animals. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Don't perform istinja with these (things) for these are the food of your brothers (Jinn)
Assuming the narration is authentic, it does not contain anything that would disparage Prophet Muhammad. This hadith does not indicate that the Messenger, ever stripped himself naked or did what the sick minds of the Christians and anti-Islam have come up with. Al-Tabari said in his interpretation: The people of interpretation differed about those meant by his saying: “They almost mounted him.” Some of them said that he meant by that the jinn who almost mounted the Messenger of God when they heard the Qur’an. So, when scholars mention this story, they are talking about the jinn, not humans.

The meaning of “they ride” Yarkaboon is mentioned in the narration narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in “Dala’il Al-Nubuwwah”. The hadith says, “They crowded around him.” By combining the narrations, we can understand the meaning of Rides, “They crowded around the Messenger, and drew near to him.” This meaning was mentioned by the researchers and investigators of Musnad al-Imam Ahmad in the margin of the narration. They said, “They mounted,” meaning, they crowded around him and drew near to him.
The hadith states that these jinn do not have reproductive organs, as evidenced by His statement, “I do not see their private parts.” If these jin do not have private parts, then how were they able to do what the sick minds and Christian have come up with?! When it is said that someone rode or ride the sea, does this mean that someone committed an immoral act on the sea?! When you say people ride on top of each other on the bus or train, does this mean that they are committing an immoral act?

I will use the same logic with Christian from the Bible using the word RIDE:
Isa 19:1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
The interpretation of Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible said that the swift cloud is virgin Mary and Jesus RIDE his Mother Mary. He said and much less of his first coming in the flesh, to which they are weakly applied by Jerom and others; who, by the light cloud, understand the Virgin Mary as the Christians of Syria; or the human nature of Christ, as Salmero, who relates, that upon Christ's flight into Egypt, and entering into Heliopolis
Jesus RIDE the Animals Donkey and Colt does that mean Jesus committing an immoral act with Donkey and Colt?
Matt 21:7 TLB and brought the animals to him and threw their garments over the colt for him to ride on.
Matt 21:7 TPT They brought the donkey and her colt to him and placed their cloaks and prayer shawls on the colt, and Jesus rode on it.
Matt 21:7 WE They brought the donkey and her young one. They put their coats on them. Then Jesus got on to ride.
Prophet Elisha lay on the boy
2 Kings 4:34 ASV And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon him; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
2 Kings 4:34 CSB Then he went up and lay on the boy: he put mouth to mouth, eye to eye, hand to hand. While he bent down over him, the boy’s flesh became warm.
2 Kings 4:34 CJB Then he got up on the bed and lay on top of the child, putting his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes and his hands on his hands. As he stretched himself out on the child, its flesh began to grow warm.
