Though I think it has to do with wrong political moves that Serbs simply don't want to move away from because of how stubborn we are. Serbs are even proud of their stubborness and glorify it. Bulgarians are similiar to us and have even more Turkish influence and muslims but nobody ever hates them because they've not been a thorn in anybody's ass since the end of WWII, and we were. And everybody thinks we served Russia historically which is completely unfounded, there are like 15 more countries in Europe that served Russia more than us.
