Cuba is such a funny case because nobody seems to acknowledge the most blatantly obvious truth about it: Cuba would still suck and be a typical third world latino plantation country regardless of whether it was Communist or Capitalist
Castro didn't """ruin""" Cuba because Cuba already sucked, and Castro didn't """"save'""" Cuba because Cuba still sucks, and Cuba will continue sucking no matter what future it chooses. There's literally no successful Caribbean country of that size, the only good ones are tax-dodger havens or protectorates of European countries like Martinique
