Thank you for your letter and for offering to order books for me.I truly appreciate it in advance.Regarding my commissary account number, I have been told by other inmates that they generally do not share inmates' account numbers in order to prevent extortion and theft from other prisoners.Instead of depositing money into my commissary account, if possible, would you be willing to order the English paperback box set of A Game of Thrones (Books 1–5)?I think novels like that would help me pass the time and allow me to escape reality for a while.I would be very grateful if you could.I will answer your questions honestly. However, to be honest, I still do not know much about your identity or intentions, so I have to be somewhat cautious about what I write.I will not lie, but there are certain things that I cannot fully express while I am still in Korea. Also, if possible, could you include an unused postage stamp with your next letter? It would help me reply more quickly.I am very interested in social media and traditional media coverage of my case and sentence. If possible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could print or screenshot English-language news articles, Reddit discussions, Twitter/X threads, or other popular online reactions and send them to me.I have heard that my story was even covered by The New York Times, so I would be especially interested in seeing that. For several days, the story was shown on television in every housing unit. There are also Korean newspaper clippings available here, but I am curious about the overall public reaction and opinion regarding the outcome of the case. The correctional officers and inmates all know who I am.
>>222437911Living SituationAt the moment, I share a room with other foreign inmates, although I have also been given the option to live alone if I choose. Most of the foreign inmates seem to be Chinese.Treatment in the FacilityTo be honest, I have been treated very well in detention, and the staff have done their best to accommodate my needs and make me comfortable.I have been allowed to choose foreign meals that fit my dietary preferences, and I can also select food from the Korean menu. It is actually much better than I expected. The medical care is good, and the overall living conditions are not bad at all. Technically, I am not in a prison. In Korean, they use a different term that is closer to a detention center.By American standards, it feels somewhat similar to a county jail. Security is relatively low, and in some ways it almost feels like a summer camp.We eat, go outside during recreation time, exercise, watch television, and read newspapers. There is no forced labor, and we spend most of the day relaxing without much to do. Foreign inmates are not allowed to work or share rooms with Korean inmates.(Korean-Americans may be housed with foreign inmates.)
>>222437911>>222437924Social InteractionYes, I interact socially every day with my cellmates, other inmates in the unit, and prisoners from other areas during outside time. I also speak with correctional officers and inmate workers who can communicate in English.I am somewhat of a celebrity inmate here, and the other inmates treat me very well. Many people ask to shake my hand, greet me regularly, or shout "Soooomaaaliiii!" from other rooms or housing units through the windows. Both younger and older inmates have asked for handshakes, and some have even requested autographs.(I have signed about four or five so far, and they may end up online someday. I even drew small sketches for them.)The staff frequently talk to me as well, and sometimes, through interpreters, they check on me to make sure I am safe and doing well. They also tell me that I should live a better life in the future and treat people more respectfully. Some inmates have even described themselves as fans, and I have already made a few good friends here. The Korean Legal SystemI am somewhat uncomfortable discussing this topic in detail because I do not want to further jeopardize my freedom.I will simply say that, in my opinion, while the American justice system certainly has flaws, it is much fairer.Based on my personal experience, I would say that Japan's legal system is fairer than Korea's, although its correctional facilities are worse.
>>222437911>>222437924>>222437937Future PlansThe first thing I would like to do after my release is spend time with close friends whom I have not seen in a long time and visit the grave of a friend who passed away while I was in Korea.I enjoy traveling, so I will probably visit some of the countries on my bucket list—without a camera this time. For a while, I want to focus on myself, improve my life, and have a positive impact on the people around me.I have many things I still want to accomplish, and I believe the future holds many possibilities. For an ordinary person, an experience like this might be extremely traumatic. However, I have been through difficult situations before, and I believe that hardships that do not kill you make you stronger. You have to keep fighting, keep your head up, and never give up.
Put that dirtbag to work.I wish he were in a brazilian prison.
>>222437911>>222437924>>222437937>>222437950Message to the PublicAs I said to the media before sentencing, I am sorry and regretful toward everyone in Korea who was hurt by my actions. The truth is that I never intended for things to end up this way.Since living in Korea from late 2024 onward, 99.9% of Koreans have treated me with the utmost respect.I do not hate Koreans or Korea.I was simply a live streamer who acted foolishly in an attempt to entertain viewers. It was not a personal attack, nor was it directed at any specific group, nor was it part of any larger movement or agenda. Most people do not understand that "Johnny Somali" is, to a large extent, a character until they actually meet me.I have never intentionally tried to hurt anyone, and I do not intend to do so in the future.I have not yet decided whether I will continue live streaming or creating content after my release. If I choose not to, I hope people will respect that decision and allow me to live peacefully and move on to the next chapter of my life.I have faced judgment from both the justice system and public opinion, and I have been punished. If I change my life, I hope people will respect that change and understand that people can make mistakes, grow, and deserve an opportunity to move forward. If I do continue creating content, I will definitely approach it differently than before. And if I continue, I will likely try to participate in Adin Ross's Brand Risk boxing event in Miami, Florida, shortly after my release.Fans can look forward to that. Finally, if you know anyone else who would like to write to me, could you please help spread the word about how to send me letters and how to contribute to my commissary account?Whether they are fans or critics, I would love to receive more letters.

>>222437911Damn, The US really let their own citizen to rot in foreign prison over trivial matter. This is what collapsing empire look like.
>>222437937I would take anything he says with a huge grain of salt. He's a notorious liar and why would some chink criminal give a single shit about him or want his autograph?
