But on the flip side you could say theres the absence of pressures, that before people used to be poorer and having more children was literally a way of scrounging up the very little they could and guarantee theyd be safe in old age and that child mortality was higher etc as well so they were forced to have more children and theres no longer such reasoning anymore.
