>>222462124The way political surveys are done today is online using databases of people who enrol in survey sites or register in political parties. Scientific surveys usually use established groups such as schools, hospital patients, workplaces etc. They rarely go out and give random surveys in public because it turns out, that is actually not random. E.g., if I stood in front of a Walmart to do a survey, I would get more schizos than the average number in the general population.
