I don't get traumatised by anything, but some of the weirder and disturbing shit is:1) Did autopsies, the whole process is weird, everything inside you from tongue to ball goes out, gets measures, samples taken then it just gets stuffed inside, including your brain since returning it back to your skull is hard. So the person gets buried with their brain near their asshole, their prostate in their throat, etc. I way always annoyed we don't put it back in some order. To get the brain out, you literally need to stretch their skin apart, which makes their face sort of wrinkle like it's just a skin mask, which I guess it is in a way.2) Did a house visit on some dude, he lived in a shitty RV trailer that was parked outside the ruins of his father's house that got destroyed in the war. The house is just some walls, there was even a tree growing in what was one of the rooms. The RV trailer was just full of trash, this guy had big wet leg ulcers with a shit ton of flies just going at them, moldy bread on the floor, he acted like it's all normal, just a friendly visit from the doctor. Couldn't wrap my head around that someone lives like that. Managed to contact social worker and talk him into agreeing to living in an elderly home.3) Couple general situations where a granny comes with skin cancer on her nose, except there's no nose and cancer is eating into her face, she's blind on one eye and after 10 year she concluded that maybe she needs medical help.

Resident are insulted, surgical residents had instruments thrown at them by a surgeon having a fit, if you're a hot female resident, there's a 99% chance you'll be sexually harassed. Seen disturbing conversations with patients too, people being nonchalantly told they're gonna die (no other info, no preparation, no build up) like it's just another Tuesday, saw doctors refuse to tell a patient that he's dying while he's specifically asking to know. Giving dumb replies like "we're all gonna die at some point!"5) Had drug addicts that I know have a knife on them spend 20 minutes trying to convince me to give them some extra buprenorfin. Dude staring right at me with dead eyes, barely blinking as I keep saying "no, I can't do that". No security around, nothing. Also, random patients get angry for xyz and threaten you, or women bring their husband to threaten you. Someone's gonna stab me in the parking lot at some point.6) Had one bizzare experience in the ER with a morbidly obese woman brought in, wasn't my patient, I just passed by the box and saw here, she was absurdly massive and I have no idea what was going on with her, anaphylaxis or something, she was read and extra swolled along with being fat, there were 4 doctors/technicians inside struggling just to get her in an inclined position, she looked like some demon. It's just her apperance that is still stuck in my head, least human looking human I ever saw.7) Seeing people realize that they're gonna die can be fucked up. You see men who seemed tough and rational suddenly start crying and pleading, begging for life, it's just sad and makes you think if most people are just scared kids pretending to be something us. Then again, you also see people who'll flat out refuse to treat an perfectly treatable cancer and don't seem to give a shit about dying.

I was just outside smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer talking with one of my friends about Morrowind or something when it happened, there was actually a lot less blood than I expected from the stab wound so I guess he didnt hit anything too vital and the dude ended up surviving.
