How do you feel about doing really low tier jobs iyc?
>>
>>222469204
These are the real jobs that actually matter. The less you're paid, the more important your job is. The more you're paid, the less important your job is.
>>
>>222469204
i don't
>>
>>222469228
i guess surgeons/doctors/dentists are not important jobs at all
>>
>>222469269
How often do you need surgery?
>>
>>222469204
>>
>>222469269
I use a road every day, but never had the need of doctor surgeon dentist.
>>
I wonder since when people started to think construction workers are low tier. In Japan, the oldest existing company was established in 6th century and it was construction company. In Europe, people who built cathedrals must be respected too. I feel like looking down on construction workers is continental Asiatic culture, where they were traditionally mostly slaves.
>>
>>222469314
no the people who built the impressive things in europe were not skilled. the masons and architects maybe, but the people who actually climbed on the scaffolding were just regular people moving things where the master builder told them to
>>
>>222469228
Not always, but there is truth in that.
And real problem is not their status but low compensation, especially when said jobs fuck up your health.
>>222469269
Kind of, in a way they are not important because with high enough birth rates deaths wouldn't matter as much. Even if that's terrible. But humans are retarded anyway, we don't pool resources into life extension technology like we should.
>>
>>222469269
Correct. Doctors just sell you pills for big pharma, even ChatGPT could replace them. Dentists perform unnecessary work to make money. How many times have you needed a surgeon?

Toilet cleaners? I use a toilet every day. Roads? House builders? Garbage collection? All of these matter more, yet they're considered the lowest.

My job is legalized slavery and I feel nothing
>>
>>222469204
Low status, low pay, no recognition. Nobody wants to do those in the West but deep inside everbody knows they're necessary. That's why mass immigration is allowed, we want people without rights to do those jobs for us.
>>
>>222469269
theya re just specialized workers. Call me when they start a business o algo
>>
>>222469731
>Low status
who cares
> low pay,
this is the real problem
> no recognition.
by who?who cares, the nly problem would be is normies break balls because they thin they are superior, but thats not par tof the job but of their mental illness
>>
>>222469269
They're paid like shit in Britain, I remember meeting a junior doctor on 31k lmfao

I fucking loved being a janitor. I use a toilet every day anyway. I can clean 20 toilets in a row and be happy. don't have to deal with people, wear a mask and gloves, it feels like i'm actually helping society.
the problem is of course the pay

Ive never done it so I don't know how it feels

I am doing a chef apprenticeship and i hate it, practical final is in a week and i havent practised at all
>>
>>222469314
I've done it in the past (food delivery, supermarket, elderly care home worker being the main ones) and hated it. The issue wasn't even the pay, it was the stigma/judgement and I was only in my teens/early twenties.... I'm sure this is 1,000x worse at 30+.

Also some of them were absolutely mind numbing and lots of the time your colleagues are awful since unable to get a better job due to personality problems. Care work was the weirdest one imo because genuinely hard/difficult and very important yet pays even less than the supermarket and lots of my co-workers wouldn't even be able to hold down a job at a supermarket.

This isn't true for UK unless it was decades ago. Sounds like the base F1 salary from a few years ago, the reality is it depends on your rotation/hours but best guess is go on BMA and multiply number by 1.3. Barely anyone earns the number on BMA site.
>>
>>222470318
just turn the stove on nigga
>>
>>222469314
It just depends on how many people are capable of doing the job and the pay. Low tier jobs are stigmatised cause it implies you're incapable of doing anything else.
>>
>>222470241
Based. I would also not mind cleaning if it paid well. I prefer to do things of consequence with my hands.
>>
Something where you have to deal with the public constantly and the pay is bad is probably the worst. As a cleaner/janitor you would get relative peace.
>>
>>222470445
The hob is induction and burns everything
But seriously, i cant make a 3 course meal, i hate food, I hate cooking. 3 years down the drain and im gonna end up back at mcdonalds
>>
I would be a janitor rather than low end construction worker
>>
>>222469401
There would have to be skilled and experienced people on there otherwise it would not work. Just having inexperienced hands and backs to be commanded is not a viable way of doing such a project. Also, shaping stone itself is a large bulk of the grunt work and no random labourer would be doing that.

Just as an example, you would need someone who can design and work rigging and cranes, and you would need carpenters and ropemakers and blacksmiths to put it together. All of that would on-site and nothing to do with anyone whose trade isn't these things.

You must have not worked those jobs. Low recognition is actually the biggest issue and its effect is indirect so many don't know. You're treated like shit by everyone for working and the working environment is very toxic.
>>222469731
Those jobs should be for old people and teenagers, and they should be part-time or have flexible hours. In my country, cleaners, etc are mostly old ladies.
