What tier you at right now in your country?
>>
>>222494727
Beginner, don't think I'll ever advance and that's OK, hearty food is where it's at
>>
>>222494727
Why is the Michelin/expert one always worse looking than the second tier one on these videos?
>>
I've been tracking all my food, not just calories and macros, but also vitamins and minerals. The amount of shit in almost all available food is insane, and most diets lack basic nutrition and have deficiencies.

For the last few months I have been eating plain, single ingredients either boiled or baked so I can ensure I get 100% of all nutrients.

I posted some of my meals and people just responded with "haha bri'ish food is... le bad!!!" as though anyone else in the country is eating a plate of plain vegetables, lentils and nuts.

I've never cooked dead animal parts in my country since it's low moral
>>
>>222495166
There's the one vitamin pretty much only in ferments, and then D of course
>>
>>222495198
uh oh they really don't like it when you tell them the reality
>>

this doesn't bother me in the slightest, anon

Lobsters aren't sentient, I agree with the other two but people get mad, especially if I said anything about steaks

Lobsters are sentient anon. Studies show they can learn, keep long term memory, make complex actions directed toward a goal... Many are social species too, following strict social hierarchies and communicating with chemical signals, postures and sounds.

They have opioid receptors and react to painkillers as we would, and their nervous system is complex enough to process bad stimuli. When injured they change their behavior, avoid whatever hurt them, groom the wound...

You shouldn't have said that, now americans cities will have roaming zombie lobsters trying to get a hit.
>>
>>222495571
they are dumb as shit. they don't even make noise.

Looks the best. I would choose this.
>Pro
Fine. I would eat this if it was put in front of me.
>Michelin
Looks like some posh twat shit. Pretentious and awful looking. I bet it tastes rank.

Don't you enjoy abstract cuisine?
>>
>>222495198
boiled lobster is a weird choice because it's the only time the consumer kills the animal himself (or at a restaurant choses the living lobster) so he's fully aware of the reality
>>
>>222496558
this looks so fucking dumb, holy crap.
>>
>>222495198
You made up an idea in your head (morality) and decided to not eat meat because its "low moral". Insanity.
>>
>>222494727
Beginner is better and I hate cooking. Waste of time standing around.
>>
>>222494727
Shove it into the oven for 20 minutes. Fuck cooking. Food is disgusting.

What even makes the 3rd one Michelin. I can see the farce used in pro one but the only thing I can see in the third is the a neat clump of potato puree

Chickens are God tier animals. They eat all the crap in your garden. Slugs, ticks, mosquitos, and many other shitty bugs. And they give you fresh eggs.

I wonder how bored a michelin chef would become working for me when I'd probably ignore the presentation and whenever I found a meal I liked, I'd just tell him to make that for a few days

>muh moral relativism
The golden rule is a pretty universal ethical principle. Don't do to others what you would want to be done to you.

"Others" means any sentient being with a central nervous system that can experience joy, love, fear, stress or pain, like (You) do. Arguing that what constitutes "others" is relative would otherwise allow a psychopath to justify abusing pets, or raping and murdering humans.

Yes others in the context of the golden rule applies only to humans, and if it does apply to animal then it just proves that no one abides by that idea. You choose to not eat meat and sacrifice your health because of some made up religious ethics.

You would find that most people who abide by this rule actually agree that hurting animals is wrong, but don't align their actions with what they believe in. Either they're ignorant and never thought about where their food comes from, or they believe meat is necessary to be healthy (which is a claim that the current scientific consensus strongly refutes)... Or they're simply plain hypocrites.
>>
>>222497441
you don't know how to cook
>>
>>222498330
No, everyone knows where meat comes and no one cares about dead animals, not even you. Children naturally kill small animals for fun. Its part of our nature, its healthy to consume animals and no amount of "scientific consensus" can change that
>>
>>222498474
You're being disingenuous.
>everyone knows where meat comes a
Wrong. See for example picrel, most people disagree with the most common farming practices, meaning they're unaware of the current system.

>no one cares about dead animals
Psychopaths don't. Go out and ask the first person you see "is it wrong to kick a dog?"

>Children naturally kill small animals for fun
So this is actually a typical warning sign for psychopathy. Research clearly shows hurting animals as a kid is linked to later delinquency

>its healthy to consume animals
How do you know it's unhealthy not to, if you're not interested in the scientific research behind it?
>>

Fungi lack a brain, neurons, or pain receptors, so they are not sentient. They don't actively avoid negative stimuli either. They can communicate like plants or computers do, but you wouldn't call a robot conscious. Also we typically eat their fruiting body and not the mycelium, so we're not killing or hurting them.
>>
>>222496558
>that will be 600usd+tip
>>
>>222499226
fungi ARE the brain and YES they feel pain and even SCREAM
if establishing complex ecological relationships with plants and other organisms isnt a sign of sentience what is, having a cock and balls?

fungi lack a central nervous system, because the entire body is the "nervous system"
its a retarded metric anyway, do you consider jellyfish insentient because they dont have central nervous systems either?

you are a massive retard and have successfully convinced me to STOP being a vegetarian

lmao something with a hill and dying, absolute retard antics
>>
>>222498728
>Wrong. See for example picrel, most people disagree with the most common farming practices, meaning they're unaware of the current system.
The image shows their opinion on farming practices, nothing else. Everyone is aware that the meat in grocery store does not come from the woods, which i think is bad but not for ethical reasons.
>Psychopaths don't. Go out and ask the first person you see "is it wrong to kick a dog?"
We care to an extent but not the way you seem to "care" about animals, its completely different to care about the surrounding animals such as pets than your delusional ideas.
>So this is actually a typical warning sign for psychopathy. Research clearly shows hurting animals as a kid is linked to later delinquency
No its actually very common for kids to kill animals for fun, I sometimes spent hours killing slugs growing up
>How do you know it's unhealthy not to, if you're not interested in the scientific research behind it?
How do you know its unhealthy when you haven't read the source material yourself, have you read the entire litterature yourself? Can you explain, in your own words why it is unhealthy or do you just choose to believe in these ideas because of a supposed consensus?
