>>222518851Our race and religion are stated on our state issued ID card (MyKad). Any newborn child will generally get the father's race, though sometimes this is fudged if the father is a non-Malay Muslim convert who is married to a Malay woman. The gender is stated too and is hard coded into the ID numbers. ID sequence ending with even numbers are female while odd numbers are male. The date of birth is also hard coded into the sequence. So, if you want to check whether a Malaysian girl is of legal age or if "she" is a real woman, just ask to see her MyKad.
