>>222544596I was able to find a detailed source from the era that I played the game the mosthttps://www.dotafire.com/dota-2/guide/honest-goos-guide-to-per-with-slang-dictionary-22001this is actually exceptional because it actually goes into a player that I frequently matched with SmAsh who was a celebrity in the peruvian scene who ended up getting banned by valve at competitive events for betting on his own games and match fixing. it even has a link to the youtube video that he did for a local fast food chain and everything that I mentioned earlierthe short of it is that south american servers had brazilians who spoke Portuguese and they had better experiences working with english speakers even if the same language barrier existed. the server clusters existed on opposite sides of the andes mountains at the time so internet routing actually gave them better connection to NA than other places in SA but that was later fixed. also there was a culture in internet cafes since they were charged based on time that the smallest setback would have Peruvian players throw games so they can play another in their alloted time. this clashed with the #5 point in the link where the more "civilized" and skilled peruvian players would be at nicer cafes that didnt have the same restrictions so would try to avoid them by queuing into NA servers which led to a vicious cycle. anecdotally speaking with some of the better peruvian players who knew english they also avoided playing with other south americans because they were more selfish and were less willing to play rolls like support which were necessary but were not as fun

I dont think ill ever play the game again desu

We don't dump them there though, they come down from the highlands deep in inland Peru, mostly illiterate or functionally illiterate people, many take possession of land, and wait for property titles, either granted automatically by law after some time if violence-free, or by the government when it wants votes. In the past century Around 80% of low-elevation Lima was built this way, including some of the nicer districts. They first built with precarious materials, then upgraded to brick, and then their children built the upper floors.
