Why do Nordic languages sound so femboyish while its close cousin in German is so brutish?
>>222584292Is German sound brutish?
>>222585140Yes.Russian sounds drunk and slurred, by the way (I mean even when 100% sober.)
>>222585176I wouldn't call it brutish. I like the way it sounds. It's more like practish I would say. And it can sound soft and very cute too.
I think all germanic languages were concocted to sound intimidating back in pagan times, and meant to be spoken aggressively, with a growl and long rolled R's but as culture has softened and become civilized over hundreds of years, the languages has as well, so now we speak languages that were designed for a hunter gatherer/barbarian way of life in a modern civilized manner and it creates a weird dissonance

>>222584292>German is so brutish?I never got this meme. German is a very soft and musical language, with nice long vowels. Probably one of the things that made Germans so musically inclined.
