>literally everyone in my country who recalls the pandemic and lockdowns talks as if they were just quarantined in their home 24/7 and never went outside or talked to anybodyDid this happen in your country? I was constantly going outside for groceries and takeout and interacting with the world as normally as ever. Maybe it helped that I was a neet with no social life to speak of, but I never felt like I was stuck in my home going stir crazy either.
I miss lockdown.
>>222590807They memoryholed most of it here because they realized they were wrong lol
>>222591007I still have an unopened mini roll of toilet paper that I scoured every store in town for during the hoarding craze. I kept it as a memento.
>>222590807I got laid off and collected my gibs until they ran out. During that period I didn't do anything but go to the grocery store and sometimes hung out at the park. People where I was took it all pretty seriously so even when they started opening back I didn't feel like going to the bar until all the mask and social distancing rules were dropped and that's the only place I socialize.
>>222590807My college locked me inside my studio dorm room for 2 weeks because someone else on the floor tested positive. I missed the first day of classes. Glad to know your neetdom was comfy tho
>>222590807I was working like 55 hours a week...and grocery shopping and going to the gym.
>>222590807Memoryholed it, I was going to work at clinic all the time. Drive was nice took 15 min to get there, also would go with my dad (to a certain point, no visitros) to get chemo. The mask shit was annoying, I hated it.Crazy how it just took Putin to "cure" covid
>>222590807Life for (Me) was good>no traffic onna road>covid gibs loophole meant i got gibs, annual leave payout from job 1 and wage from job 2felt good man
Some of the best months of my life fr fr. Only normgroids who can't go 2 minutes without touching grass didn't like it
>>222590807It was kino but I honestly think it broke something very deep in the normgroid soul to the point where it’s made interacting with other people irl a lot worse
>>222590807>Did this happen in your country? No. We never had lockdowns, never used masks and life went on normally for 99% of it. The only thing I noticed was a few cancelled huge festivals and stuff. Other than that, no change. Covid was literally a nothingburger here.
>>222590807For me it was fine. Parents took it seriously so we generally took the necessary precautions >>222593624I agree. Everyone seems kind of spastic now
>>222593640I have a theory that's because you guys are all introvert autistos
>>222593651Doesn't change the fact that we do normal shit like everyone else. I worked in a tightly packed office at the time, had covid twice with basically no worse symptoms than a normal flu and I went to the pub twice a week like normal (not while sick of course) which was also packed full. Normal stuff.
>>222593675Pretty much no one took the lockdown seriously
>>222593640>No. We never had lockdowns, never used masks and life went on normally for 99% of it.People in my country would seethe at you every day. It was very surreal seeing random Canadians call the Social democrats far right fascists lol
>>222593722I mean, felt like the entire western world was talking mad shit about us back then. Pretty much daily news about how we had huge number of dead and even foreign news talked about our choice. BUT the moment it became clear that our numbers leveled out and were actually better than most and equal to some the best? Dead silence. Not a single news report, no youtube assholes talking shit. Nothing. Went from "the thing" to talk about to complete radio silence.
>>222593751>I mean, felt like the entire western world was talking mad shit about us back then. Pretty much daily news about how we had huge number of dead and even foreign news talked about our choice.Lmao exactly, I used to get literal death threats for mentioning the "Swedish Model" in regards to covid here. People lost their minds.>Dead silence. Not a single news report, no youtube assholes talking shit. Nothing.Yeah pretty much, I think a lot of people have realized they were wrong, which is why they are so eager to never bring any of this up again (dude that was a long time ago forget it is heard often.) But another large portion will still repeat a bunch of outdated or spurious info from that time and ignore anything that contradicts it. We truly are reddit, the country.
>>222593751I didn't even know your cunt did something different.
>>222593751>felt like the entire western world was talking mad shit about us back thenNot really. No one cared
>>222593972SameWeird how media wouldn't report on that.
Covid was kino but work was hell. And it completely broke the normies on both sides
>>222590807Being a NEET who barely left his house both pre-COVID and post-COVID, I can barely differentiate the two. The one thing that COVID destroyed for me was the enjoyment of night. Even in my relatively small city you could still go shopping at all the major grocery stores 24/7, go get food as they were all open 24/7, but that all ended.Nothing is open no more. There is no more reason to leave my house at night as there is nowhere to go.The peace and tranquility of shopping or just walking around stores at night was unparalleled, the stores were always empty.RIP.
Britbongs literally had an NHS app tracking their movement and reporting them to cops if they left the house
If you can "work" from home you have a fake job.
>>222594153Aussies were worse if you can believe it. Here we had hags sitting on Facebook all day trying to dox anyone who protested against the lockdowns to get them fired.
