2) why does this fool not understand making lighthearted comments in memory of the person who died at the funeral help ease the passage? Like yeah there's grief, but you're also honoring their memory and celebrating their life, that means viewing them with some humility or something idk. The problem is most people aren't funny and yeah it probably can be an awkwardly landing joke because the person saying it is grieving too, but whatever.

I fucking hate Boston and Massachusetts though.
