>>222658749The best part is that pic related, these shitty wall units, is what AC is to the Europeon. This is the unfathomably expensive and wasteful luxury they can’t afford lmao. They can’t even begin to fathom central air
>>222658827Most of these units double as heat pumps that can be used for heating in winter
>>222658749Western Europeans are all degrowth retards
>>222658848nigga what are you even saying, these things work a million times better than central cooling. I had one at my old apartment and I miss it every summer.
>>222658848If that's not AC, then what is?
>>222658920They only work if they're cooling a small space like a 1 bedroom apartment. They're 1 step above a window AC
Are windows not enough for the rest of you?
>>222658993
>>222658910Degroth = best for earth and humanity
>>222659022In this muggy fucking country, no way
>>222658998>They only work if they're cooling a small space like a 1 bedroom apartmentYes, which is the same case for central cooling. A central air system requires multiple vents all over the building to disperse the air (see the diagram the other anon posted as I was typing this), which unless you have an extremely advanced system cannot be independently controlled. You're paying to cool your entire home when you may only be using 1 or 2 rooms.
>>222659034Wtf, so you have air ducts running all through your walls across your entire house? Isn't that hideously expensive to set up?
>>222659022Talking about windows and insulation, imagine being an american with 1cm thin walls without padding and shit. Like what you see angry 14 year old gamers punch through
>>222658993In america when we say aircon were talking about a central unit that cools the whole house on a central thermostat, theyre usually delivering 2.5-5 tons of cooling, some houses have multiple systems. They're pretty simple but they cost a lot, for a 3 ton 14 SEER split system, and a furnace and air handler unit, it's about $3,000 usd and they can get way more expensive with more efficient models, a 15 SEER split with a coil can be $4,000, and it just goes up from there. IMHO they don't deliver the comfort of ductless wall units because you're cooling the whole house on a thermostat in a single central location, a ductless system can individually cool each room to your desired temp more efficiently, and feeling the cool air come straight from the unit is really nice.
>>222659143>Talking about windows and insulationWhy would you talk about windows and insulation when you could just not talk about windows and insulaton?
>>222659160Because in good quality not mcburger houses you actually just keep the heat out by having thick walls and good windows. A log cabin doesn't get very hot.
white people were not made for these temperatures, it's simply the truth of the matter.
how to successfully survive without air condition1. live in a place that doesn't get freakishly hot, preferably countryside over city, preferably higher elevation2. open the windows during early morning3. close the windows and shutters during the days
>>222659267Installing awnings is also a great way to keep cool
>>222659227at least the Somali immigrants will feel right at home
>>222658749Don't even need these, window type ACs can cool a single room without the need for an overpriced HVAC guy nickel and diming you
>>222659344The Horn of Africa actually has very comfortable temperatures. It's significantly cooler there than here
>>222659110They're still not as efficient, all the cool air is going into one room so to cool down your bedroom to a comfortable temperature you need to cool your much larger living room/kitchen to a lower temperature.
>>222659113That’s how the majority of houses in the US are. Blows hot air in the winter, cold air in the summer. You can have a steady temperature 24/7/365>>222659216When it’s 80F+ for months on end it doesn’t fucking matter. It will be hot. And yes a log cabin will get hot you retarded nigger.Europoors deal with the tiniest of temperature swings and then wonder why American houses are built the way they are
>>222658749this is indeed perplexing. no ac i've ever seen
>>222658848central air is extremely wasteful and retarded
Central air is non-existent outside US basically. Maybe Canada and Australia has them but that is about it
Here's the other half of the heating / AC equation. Completely insulate your home so it's almost air tight.
>>222660102>central air is extremely wasteful and retardedNot when 6 months of the year are above 30C with high humidity. You have no idea how bad the weather can get in the southern US.
>>222658749>>222658848>>222659034my fucking land owner does not allow something like this, that's the problem living in a country, where having your own house is a rarity and super expensive as well. had to buy a portable ac, put on a second hose on it, i also installed 2 ceiling fans in my apartment. now its nice and cold.
>>222659982I lost 50K because of you nigger retards closing the market one hour early because niggers! Fuck you. Imagine if it was just cool down to earth people, no deranged shit idiots controlled by globalists. You think you are so national with civic and have no folk culture. KYS
>>222660848>I lost 50k Kek not my problem baggie, get jewed
>>222658749The thing with air conditioners is that it's thermodynamically a horrible deal. If you used 10000 Joules of energy of AC into cooling your home, all the energy eventually goes into your surroundings making it even hotterIt's the old thermodynamic dilemma of opening your refrigerator door, it's the same as joining your source and sink in the refrigeration cycle
>>222660935At least i can by around my own kin, no foreigners here. Just 200 white people(not latin, only clan) around you celebrating a good thing. What happened to the fellowship of USA?

>>222667057Ventilating the body directly will always cool it down faster than not. That like saying a fan does nothing to a CPU.
>>222667377CPUs air cooling is effective because CPU safe operating temps are much hotter than air temps If the air is close to, at or above body temp the fan becomes useless and even can start working backwards to overheat you

>>222666482That's the cool part, everything is more expensive in Europe. They make less and everything costs more. Only thing that was cheaper when I went was Uber cuz no tips and faster car travel.
>>222658848>This is the unfathomably expensive and wasteful luxury they can’t afford lmao.My middle income Croatian family can afford 4 in our house. As I type this the one in my room is working, it has been working for 10 years now because summers here on the coast always reach close to or above 40 degrees C. And since we on the coast love our stone, concrete and asphalt and hate trees we get constant heat even during night when you can feel nearby walls or the ground cooking you through the shoes which means windows stay closed in most cases even during nighttime.I think continental parts of Europe like some continental mountainous parts of Croatia usually only get hot for a few days or nights in a year so they didn't require the purchase of AC units. However recent climate is probably heating up parts of usually cooler Europe to temperatures they're not used to.
>>222659113You don't have a ventilation system? You just huff mold all day? Is there anything worse than being British?
