why the fuck are there so many of them here? how is it that they outnumber canadians on an english speaking website?
We have collectively transcended from our physical realities onto a higher plane (namely 4chan's /int/ board)

Real answer: we've had imageboards for almost as long as 4chan has existed, so a lot of people find their way onto 4chan as well. I don't know if I'd call Ylila*ta an imageboard anymore in its current state, but it's one of the most visited sites in this country, before that there was Kuvalauta, Finnchan and other sites. Of course back then it was a bunch of teenagers and early 20s kids, now it's still the same people but we're approaching middle age. I've seen the progression over the years, back in the day we used to argue about whether you should go to high school or trade school, then it was military vs non-military service, then university vs AMK, now people talk about taking house loans and what are the best places to raise kids and stuff
>>222732027I've never went to ylis or other imageboards tho
>>222732050I think I first found 4chan before Kuvalauta too, I think it was back when people started posting about the notorious 4chan on other sites so I came to check it out in like 2008 like an eternal newfag. Then I started going to Kuvalauta in like 2009 or 2010 until it died shortly afterwards

>>222731794Well, that's probably because 4chan is entertaining.
>>222732251We also had our own MySpace type sites as well in the early 2000s, at first they were just meant to sites where IRC users could post their pics but then teenagers just started using them as MySpace. One of them is still up as well with pics from twenty years ago, it's a strange feeling looking at random profiles, it's some kid with a moped or doing something dumb, but then the age bracket says they're now 37 and you just wonder what kind of life they're living now
