Prussian superiority

>[state with the largest territory] superiority
who could've thought
>>

It was pretty epic. Coincided with the part of Euro history literally nicknamed the good times = belle epoque and it was also pretty much the only time Germany was a normal country (except weimar republic) + all the SOVL that was left from le old times. not much of that left now
the borders did not mean much at that point. pre-2nd reich germany was notorious for toll border crossings
>>
Germany is a conglomeration of different peoples who hate each other but need to stick together or they'll get dabbed on by their neighbors
>>
>>222762770
>toll
excuse me toll I meant customs. Before the Prussians molded Germany into existence every local ruler had his own economic zone basically
>>
>>222762566
>thinking territorial size is the metric for superiority
>acting as if Prussia just magically became the largest without earning it
you are one hell of a stupid mofo
>>
>>222763063
>earning it
russia wanted polish land and prussia were its neighbours
after that poles unironically unified germany for germans
>>
>>222763324
Was just about to say this, Prussia was shitty land ruled by people wholly foreign and uninterested in it, poor and feudal until the end of WW1

literally this

Where exactly do you mean?
>>222762566
Considering that the Kingdom of Prussia grew from one of the poorest states of Germany it is quite impressive.
>>222762908
Related to the many customs borders before the German Customs Union/North German Confederation/German Empire from 1848. It reads:
>You see, Mr. Borderguard, that I have nothing to declare; for what is at the back of the wagon hasn't crossed the Lippe border yet, there is nothing in the middle, and what is at the front has already crossed over to the other side of the Lippe border.

>germany is polish because a 4chan shitposter from 19th century said so
nietzsche however is right that westerners are useless cattle, roman serfs who were germanised
>>
>>222762770
>except weimar republic
what the fuck are you talking, the weimar republic was the exact clown government we have today
>>
>>222765627
well I was mostly referring to Prussia but I trust Nietzsche
>>
Reminder that Weimar Germany was the first modern German national state, in the true meaning of the term, also the first that actually had a unified army btw. Which also makes modern Germany a new state born after WW1, at the same time as Poland and Czechoslovakia.
>but the German Empire
A bunch of different states glued together, each different monarchies, governments and armies. Germany in WW1 still had "Prussian" and "Bavarian" armies like it was the Napoleonic era.
>>
>>222766608
nothing but mental gymnastics
>>
>>222766608
Nowadays the different federal states also have their own governments. And in wartime the "different" armies would fall under the high command of the prussian king. Equipment and uniforms were also standardised under the German Empire. Same goes for the civil law.
>>
>>222766608
you are right in your analysis but wrong in your conclusion. the first German national state was actually the North German Confederation of 1867 which was essentially just extended to the southern German states and renamed in 1871.
>A bunch of different states glued together
that's just federalism.
>>
>>222766608
They only unified the legal codes in 1900 iirc, 30 years after the founding date, so give more time they probably would have slowly centralized around Berlin either way, it just happened quicker with the revolutions deposits all the monarchies post ww1
>>
>>222768340
>it just happened quicker with the revolutions
no, it didn't. weimar republic was the same but with a republican paint
>>
>>222768528
nope, the Weimar Republic was considerably more centralized than the German Empire
>>
>>222768583
I wouldn't say centralized more like the locus of power shifted from Prussian ministries to Republican government, the whole Minister-President of Prussia no longer being Reichkanzler
>>
>>222762438
>a bunch of sub-national monarchies owning random plots of land hundreds of kilometres apart
Pure SOVL, WW1 was the greatest disaster in Western history
>>222766608
Only Bavaria had a seperate army, and that was done away with shortly after WW1 began
>>
>>222768817
>Only Bavaria had a seperate army
Wrong. Saxony and Württemberg also had armies.
>and that was done away with shortly after WW1 began
Also wrong. The Military Conventions of 1866/71 and the November Treaties of 1870/71 ruled that the armies of all member states were to be placed under the high command of the prussian king in the case of war.
>>
>>222766287
I refuse to believe the first German republic was that cucked. But Germans being Germans I bet there was a lot of Gutmensch smart assery back then already
>>
>>222769707
republics are inherently cucked, it doesn't have anything to do with what nation it is.
