Amerishit tv shows are all the same. They're good for falling asleep to, nothing else.
>>
Ever heard of the chinese godfather?
>>
>>222883408
Yes, that show is about anti italian discimination. imagine if they did something like that for blacks or jews

do you understand it? they think we are barbarians. we think they're the unambitious poor bastards who got left behind. We know who's better off. As for the nuances of organized crime, its lost on them. Who cares? Anyone who understand the American way and desires to be a part of it will always find a way here
>>
I think normlfags overrate crime drama as a whole too much.

Here it was played on a paying channel, with french dubbed voices, a fucking massacre. So normies don't know much about it.

The fundamental question is, will I understand this show as well as wops do. And I will understand it, even more so. But until I do, it's going to be hard to verify that I think I'll understand it more.

what if you saw a Uzbek guy 20m away raising some sort of cup directly at you, take a drink, and started speed walking towards you, only to stop right in front of your face breathing heavily and ask "what is going on with you this afternoon"
>>222886126
Okay well what if some Azeri just said "wie gehts ich liebe deutsche kultur" and pulled out his bottle opener he had on his keychain and popped open the bottle you were holding on the city street and maybe he kinda went for that french kiss greeting (although you wondered if he actually wanted to kiss you)
perhaps you'd feel like a fool, maybe even uncomfortable
>>
>>222886126
No but cheerfully saying something like "Signori!" as you toast is like saying "mates" as a term of endearment, obviously commendatori sounds comical

I'll be honest with you, pal, I've only seen the first season of this garbage show and couldn't get any more bored. Same as breaking bad or other "top tier" tv shows from US of A.
I have no idea what are you taking about.
>>
>>222886693
really? have you seen game of thrones? don't bother with the last two seasons if you do end up watching it
>>
>>222886693
Both shows kinda pick up the pace from season 1 and get better and more interesting over time. But I never got bored with the sopranos t bh.
>>
>>222886693
NTA but wtf?
The first season of Breaking Bad was literally non-stop action and character/plot development, in a way was not sustainable for the rest of the show but still 10/10.
I don't even like TV, but you're retarded. Maybe try without looking at your phone every 20 seconds, lil zoomzoom?

For me this is a boring show
>>
>>222886714
I watched the first season and was bored to death all those years ago. It was very big in Iran, and I was probably the only one openly shitting on it and calling it boring nonsense.
Still remember the amount of laughs I've had when everyone I knew loving that show lost their minds over the last couple of seasons and episodes.
The only American tv show that I ever enjoyed and saw all the episodes was Malcolm in the Middle. Extremely wild how it was similar to my own childhood and school experience, minus the uniquely American things about it and the sitcom exaggerations.
>>222886735
Maybe, but in case of Sopranos, I just don't find the Italian mob that interesting.

I can't simply get into tv shows. Spending years and hours on seasons and episodes that always hit decay and might end up in a way you might not like.
I prefer films.
Calm your horses, breaking bad fan.
>>222886771
Blumpf can't even bomb his pants with TACO shit even if he wanted.
>>
>>222886693
First season of Sopranos is basically a different show, it's very much basic network slop and they're still wondering what to even do with the premise. And the pilot is already disattached from that season.

I also dropped it on my first watch and also did the same to Mad Men and The Wire. All become very kino quickly though.
>>
>>222886816
Other way around for me. I watch both shows and films but binging some show is so much easier than starting a movie.

I suppose so. I doubt I'd end up giving any of these shows a second chance, but thanks for the explanation.
>>222886879
I guess each of us is wired differently. I can just sit and watch the entirety of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly or any Spaghetti Western without any single break in just one go regardless of how many time's I've seen them before.
>>222886926
I don't even have any beef with Americans. Their political organization being retarded doesn't mean 300+ million Americans are.
>>
>>222886693
I don't trust people who didn't like The Sopranos. It's like finding out that someone doesn't like cats. One of those little things that just prickles my gut and tells me that someone shouldn't be trusted.

It's a good thing that the first two episodes of the wire are also the two worst episodes of the first few season, which acts as a massive filter for people who need immediate action and gratification.

Whenever someone says they tried to watch the wire but got bored in two episodes I just look smug and smirk, muttering under my breath "eh eh filtered" (hasn't happened yet because I never talk to anyone)

>>
>>222887153
First season of Wire ends up being pretty good but it takes like eight episodes until it starts coming together in any meaningful way.

Then the second season is kino from the start.
>>
>>222887153
Yeah first wire episodes are just a bunch of scene presenting all the characters. But even as fillers episodes, it's still way superior than modern slop.
