El Salvador is fairly safe for now. They have some rainforests and a couple of Mayan pyramids. Nothing like Tikal, but, whatever.

You can't even walk freely in the maya nature reserve area, have to book fucking tour guides for everything, otherwise it would be kino to walk around the jungle happening across ancient maya cities every now and again.
