Everyone says your 20s are supposed to be the best years of your life but ever since I graduated uni all I've done is work full-time and I'm the most miserable and unhealthy I've ever been
>>

Your early 20s are the best time of your life.
>>
I'm 47 and if you can't have fun in your 20s it's literally over for you because it only gets worse from there in out.
You're in your prime, act like it
>>
>>222893020
There is no universal 'best years of your life', it's different for everyone and depends what you want in life. For me 30 was my peak, after that it went to shit. Secondary school was awful, early 20s were shit too. You do become more jaded and bitter as you age though, all the shit you go through in life leaves its mark.

idk i feel like the best times of my life were pre-teen. being 8 years old and playing power rangers outside and eating goldfish crackers was kino.

You need to get another job. I was in the same exact position as you. The moment I changed my job, my mood changed completely

But at least you have money, right?
>>
>>222893065
Yes and they were

At 24 I graduated from university
Then I was NEET for a year and depressed
From 25-28 I worked full time and was chronically stressed, sleep deprived, alcohol and drug user

I just went down to working part-time now and life is a LOT better but it really feels like my mid 20s were a blur of toil and frustration.

You're supposed to work seasonal/part-time in your 20s and spend your time off traveling. If your full time job offers shit time-off benefits, then find another one.

Me too lad.
>>
I only had a good couple years 20->22. Then covid derailed the rest of it.

do you have a license for using drugs?

i was there

Get your depression treated or you'll be miserable for the rest of your life
>>
>>222893020
They are suppose to be, but life is what you make it to be. I should know, I've not made it be anything and now deep in my 30s I don't have a single positive memory of my teens or 20s
>>
>>222893668
It is good to travel I think 18-22 years old rather than heading into a career immediately. Mostly due to HR roasties trying to ban you from the workforce if you have a >=6 month work gap, making long-term travel impossible.
>>
>>222893020
I'm in my 20 and suicidally depressed. How much worse could it get?
>>
>>222893135
What was the problem with your old job, Czechlad?

>You do become more jaded and bitter as you age though, all the shit you go through in life leaves its mark.
I'm already feeling this. I'm fortunate to not have faced tragedy or hardship, and I pray I won't have to, but I have encountered some nasty and awful people, and whilst it's made me a tougher and sharper person they have also embittered me, as much as I tried to not let it. Maybe it's necessary.
>>
>>222895328
I think it's bullshit. Older you get you should have more money and financial security. Most people seem to like their 30s more than their 20s
>>
>>222893087
>You're in your prime, act like it
I don't feel like I'm in my prime
I feel like a dessicated walking corpse
>>
>>222893854
Yes it was precisely the same for me. From 20-22 my life was awesome, then lockdowns derailed it... took me a few years to get back on my feet, but by then I was just working all the time so it's like I went from peak to trough then plateau for years.

It's like 6 years in the middle of my twenties where things just haven't felt right. I know life isn't supposed to be just partying, chilling, fucking girls all the time. But man everyone sells your 20s as being like that when for me it was only three years of it.
>>
>>222893020
Your 20s are fodder years, so that you can enjoy your 30s in a much better position.
Its why so many 30s men are going after low 20 somethings and below females.
>>
>>222893668
Yes I've reached this ultimate conclusion

Actually I think I will do part-time work for the rest of my life. 2 days a week is enough. I get paid well

Well not only gets worse from here so you better figure something out quick. Time only flows one way
