everywhere I go in the world I run into British people and Israelis going clubbing

why is this

and why don't we americans ever do these grand international trips?

the israelis tell me it's a thing in their culture called "the big trip" where after they serve in the IDF they go on a global trip

in the UK I think they just love traveling or something

anon I must tell you the level of community they have here is like 100x stronger than we have in the USA

there's actual cohesion here, it's not just an economic zone where people tolerate each other's existence

traveling here made me really sad anon ngl. it's unironically better in many ways compared to the USA (but the economy is actually fucked here - food costs about the same and literally the only thing that's cheaper is housing)
