>>

>>
I want to move to France more than anything while I still am in my 20s. Is a Master's my best chance?

Let me give you an idea of what work life is like in the US
I am a 29yo 3rd tier helpdesk technician for a medium sized company in Cleveland OH.
I make $23.77/h or about $49442 a year before taxes and work M-F 8-5
I get 100h paid time off a year, or about 2.5 weeks A YEAR
This includes 2 sick days and I am offered 3 days bereavement for the death of an immediate family member (parents, siblings, spouse or child). Extended family like grandparents are exempt so if my grandma dies I have to take vacation time off to grieve.
Outside of this, I get 8 full days of holiday pay. New years day, half day for good Friday, memorial day, independence day, Labor Day, thanksgiving, half day for Christmas eve, Christmas day and new years eve
I'm guessing this is quite a bit less than you would get in a similar position in France

cost of living is also much higher in the US than in europe despite what retards say on this site
>>
>>222896790
Is this supposed to sound bad
>>
>>222896906
My friend in Germany lives in a rent controlled housing co-op in a decent neighborhood. I live in an actual ghetto and still have to pay $900/m
>>
>>222896015
Where do you want to move the US to?
>>
>>222896978
To Americans, my situation is incredibly standard. To Europeans, I might as well live my live as a servitor
>>
>>222896015
We need people willing to do manual labor for various industries if you're willing to live in remote/rural places. mostly forestry and mining and shit like that. there's a big shortage in many places
>>
>>222897024
You sound like a whiny faggot desu
>>
>>222897127
For what? Recognizing euros have a much better work-life balance?
I don't hate my life, I just can't see why anyone would willingly move here from Europe for any reason but tax purposes
>>
>>222896790
USA is still way better than Cucknada at least. Everything that's wrong with the USA except 100x more immigrant, 4x the cost of living, and half the wages.
>>
>>222896790
You mog me, I can't even land an entry level help desk position. On the verge of roping meself from the nuts.
>>
>>222897242
Kek no the work/life balance is way better in the anglosphere than in poorope. Litteraly anyone with a nrain would go to the US if given the chance
>>
>>222897278
Do the migrants actually affect any job market other than labor?
>>222897282
I got lucky desu. I have a bachelor's and have a friend who knew a guy. Probably wouldve been stuck substitute teaching for $100/d otherwise
>>
>>222897349
>no the work/life balance is way better in the anglosphere than in poorope.
In what way? My German friend works a very similar job to me and is in a much better position when it comes to everything but Take-Home pay
>>
>>222897351
Yes. Canada gets chinks and jeets here which take all the white collar jobs. So senior tech positions here pay 100k CAD a year which is like 60k USD in downtown Toronto. The only jobs in Canada are labour jobs and working construction, which won't be viable for much longer anyway since the indians are starting to move into blue collar work now.
>>
>>222897385
Not really. Americans are better off in every way. I have some friends in the US who make twice what I make as humble tradies or entry level office jobs than i do as a fund manager with years of experience. Also they dont randomly give out 55% of their income to the state. Can afford actual vacations and housing and have access to actual nature
>>
>>222897538
Shit, maybe I got into the wrong field. Shouldve gotten an accounting degree
>>
>>222896906
That's wrong tho, everything is cheaper here. Gas, electricity, food and goods. It's not even close
