Thanks all, really means a lot. I've always abhorred harsh lighting so it's good to see my preferences pay off.

Two main reasons, it keeps the smell/sounds/etc. of cooking isolated to the kitchen and also reduces the amount of space the a/c has to work. Most city homes here have that because we have an a/c in almost every room.

Thailand's nice as fuck. I stayed in a flat in Lumphini back in 2019 for like $15USD a night.
Bangkok is modern, safe, people are friendly and the transit is good.

Nice place it's definitely giving off firstie vibes but I got a couple of critiques:

-Get a better mirror than the small one next to your TV with the wavy white borders. Looks kinda gaudy.
-Get an actual AC system going, mounted high up on your wall. The portable AC and the humidifier's fucking up the whole vibe. Ideally there shouldn't be anything in your living room with plastic exterior, especially white colored, and definitely not electronics.
-The chair in the corner seems too low. Lofty chairs mean elevated status.
-If you truly want to larp as an aristocrat get rid of the TV. This one's a stretch though; no one would give a damn unless you truly belong in the highest tier of society, as a matter of fact, most people would find it weird or assume you're poor if you don't have a sleek TV in your living room.
-The zebra patterned cover (or is it a blanket?) on the left looks gaudy and juvenile. Change it.
-Get a better L couch, it's color looks pale and depressing and it's texture looks cheap.

Also none of these matter if you're in your 20s and you're maximizing fun and comfort ;) Really nice looking place though!

I'm haply you live comfortably but nigga please don't fear COLOUR. The next thing you buy: curtains, a set of drawers, whatever should be something not black or white. Mix and match different trees for your wood, get a carpet, buy more artwork, etc.

With that said, it is indeed very "firsty" to live monochromatically. Your interior could pass for something in outer Melbourne.

That looks a bit more exotic. But maybe it's because of the tiles. It reminds me of a waiting room at an office or a dentist's office We only put tiles in our kitchens and bathrooms; the rest of the house has wood or wood-look flooring, more like here >>222897267

That's not a humidifier/portable a/c. It's just a filter. That room already has a permanently mounted wall a/c. And I don't want to larp as an aristocrat, I'm not that affluent lel.

can I rent a room from you? my only requirements are AC, fast internet, and a desk.

I am looking for as cheap a room as possible and can be there within a few weeks. are you interested?

I'm an american remote worker currently traveling in mexico, I'd be looking for a place for like 2 months.

I am serious btw.

Wife's idea, she thought it would add contrast. LED in the living room was also her idea. She designed the floor plan. Otherwise I'd just live in an empty studio apartment.

I'd say it has East Asian ambiance. That's the best way to put it. East Asian cunts have on paper lower standards of living than us and a lower wealth but live with better tech and live longer so it's a wash.

High IQ move. My house is like this. You just strategically turn on each room AC unit as heat moves around the house throughout the day countering the suns attack angle. Mexicans and White trash do this here and are mocked for it but it's cheaper and more efficient by farl just isolate areas that don't need the cooling. A window mount AC can be purchased for under a 1 day median wage. You just have to plug and unplug it and turn it on and off by hand room by room which is for some fucking reason disgusting for boomers. We have a huge roof mounted high power AC on the side of the house but only run it sporadically. When it's super hot we just use our window units for an hour or so at a time. It uses like $0.12 per hour and I make $38 an hour so it makes no sense to not use it.

Not op but we don't turn them all on at the same time, hence the sliding door dividers.
>>
>>222897482
That's not the mark of first world. We have nice apartments too but public places are a dump because everyone cares only about the inside of his house. What really says first world is tidy public places.

Do you mean carpet floors like this? Too much vacuuming and if something spills, it's a whole thing. We've always preferred wood but in my case we used vinyl. Even Americans stopped using carpet floors in the early 2000s.

Also we have dogs.
