I've been window-shopping houses in Europe for fun. All these aristocratic estates going for ~500k is crazy to me. I know it's because they're located in geriatric, "literal who" villages. I'm just wondering if any posters here live or grew up in similar places? What is life like for a non-Boomer outside of metropolitan areas in Europe? American rednecks shit out so many kids, you've still got young populations even in the middle of nowhere
Imagine the smell
>>222900561The interior isn't even bad! It's totally livable
idk me and the lads used to play in abandoned quarries and our mums apparently though that was absolutely fine.
>>222900535My dream is to buy an old villa in Italy, keep the gardens and the facade as traditional as possible and completely modernize the interior
>>222900726a lot of those old ville have frescoes in the interior walls and ceilings.
>>222900769I don't like that, at all. The inside should look like a luxury New York apartment or Bel Air mansion
Those old estates are typically heavily protected. You are very restricted in what you can modify so don't expect modern McMansion amenities and require a lot of maintenance. Although it does prevent subhumans like >>222900794 raping them utterly.
>>222900825You are evil
>>222900794I’m all about cool furniture but I draw the line at fucking cardboard walls.
>>222900535>What is life like for a non-Boomer outside of metropolitan areas in Europe?simple life with a thai wife since all the women have fled to the city
