It is. But it's your average Eastern Euro cusine. If you like that then you'll probably like everything else too
>>
>>222902778
We have a lot of very specific things though and some things are similar as eastern but a lil different, correct me if I'm wrong:
Żurek
Our Barszcz is a little different
We have schabowy, dewolaj, łazanki, bigos, we make our version of leczo with kiełbasa, placek po zbójecku, fasolka po bretońsku, i don't thing other slavs cuisines are as pork heavy too, ogórkowa, ducks, geese and livers with apple confit, bajgle, golonka w piwie, oscypek z żurawiną, biała kiełbasa z cebulą i z barszeczem białym (goat)
>>
>>222902547
bigos is surprisingly good for an EE cabbage stew
>>
>>222902900
I am bigos incarnate

>Our Barszcz is a little different
So is every country bro stop
>Żurek
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sour_cereal_soup
>schabowy, dewolaj
Actually very likely remants of the Russian Empire
>łazanki
very common in eastern europe
>bigos
Basically a staple food here. My mom makes it all the time
>i don't thing other slavs cuisines are as pork heavy too,
They all are man..
It's all very similar. Not to disparage Polish cusisne or your unique takes on this stuff but it's part of general cusinine culture that's more common than you realize.
>>
Makes u coom. I think I'm gonna make some tomorrow. I just need some forest shroomies.
>>
Miss my cheesy dumplings from Warsaw desu
>>
>>222903014
It says rye soup is Polish though. Łazanki are the result of Queen Bona Sforza coming to Poland. Dewolay is a french dish we appropriated. Nigga I think y'all niggas are just stealing shit from us.
>>
>>222902986
I would LOVE to try žurek, it looks awesome
>>
>>222903014
Dewolaj is originally french and schabowy based of the austrian schnitzel, y'all niggas are legit stealing our shit that we stole
>>
>>222902547
only ever had that sausage thing enveloped by a pastry
>>
not too familiar with polish cuisine but if it's anything like what my russian gf makes, I'd love to try it.
>>
>>222903099
>Dewolaj is originally french
In a sense.. It was developed by Russian empirial chefs in the style of French cusine and later came to Poland.. It's also known as Chicken Kiev,,
What you know as de volaille is not the same as de volaille in France
>>222903065
Sour coup stuff is probably transfered from PLC, true. We dont have that here much
>>
>>222903065
>Dewolay is a french dish we appropriated.
Dewolaj is chicken kiev / kotlet po kijowsku renamed to some made up french bullshit, because our nobles were obnoxious complex-ridden francophiles
The dish has fuck all to do with france, it's as french as ryba po grecku lmao

Facts about Poland:
1) they’re the failed version of Czech Republic.
2) Western Poland feels like Europe eastern side is any ex-ussr country
3) Polish people are supeisingly nicer and friendlier comparing with other Central European Slavs and Eastern ones.
4) In polish politics either you’re Russian agent or German agent there’s no in between.
5) In Poland you can’t drink alcohol in public places like parks.
6) Polish people can have extremely long conversations about very simple things
7) When they smile back at you, you just wanna hug them, very warm. Although they don’t wanna show their emotions constantly.
8) they have the biggest online presence after ruskis, sanjeets and chinks.
9) They are good at technology
10) you can use the word kurwa as comma, happiness, anger and anything.
11) putting “nie” in front of any word makes the thing negative. Prawda , nie prawda etc.
12) the only food that I’ve enjoyed is kielbasa which you can eat it with anything beer etc.

>Western Poland feels like Europe eastern side is any ex-ussr country
Nonsense, Eastern Poland has plenty of picturesque historical towns too. Przemyśl, Lublin or Kazimierz are lovely.
>>
>>222903188
Hate to dissapoint you, but the bread bowl is a gimmick, it's entirely optional.
>>

I started learning polish recently because I plan on moving there to teach English at international schools. I have studied Russian before and there are some similarities. I do not think I will be speaking it fluently any time soon because I still need to do 2-3 years of work before I can move, but I love reading polish children’s books and being able to read some of them. Maybe I will start playing games with polish interface in a few months of studying.
>>
>>222902547
Poland A is great
Poland B is a backwards theocracy
>>
>>222903473
>I started learning polish recently because I plan on moving there to teach English at international schools.
I could teach English anywhere I wanted to but genuinely what is the upside of this?
Being a teacher seems like it sucks and I have no teaching experience
>>
>>222903502
I get paid 40-50k a year teaching high school students and some adults ELA. It’s better than being a teacher in my state when you look a the cost of living. I also want to visit Poland it’s the only European country I am interested in traveling to.
>>
>>222903481
B holds this country on it's back and carrying it over the flood of western shite
>>
>>222903565
How do you start teaching?
>>
>>222903591
I need a four year English degree and a teaching license + 2 years of experience in my state. Those are the qualifications for international schools
>>
>>222903613
I got almost perfect SATs and A* Eng Lit A-level exams.
I mean let's say I'm pretty good at something but I've never actually taught anyone anything professionally as a job. Guess I need lesson plans and shit which is doable but what else?
Like what did you do for the teaching license?
>>
>>222903649
Most university programs make future teachers dual major in teaching and then the subject they will teach so they earn their bachelors and teaching license at the same time. I’m transferring to university at the end of this year and will probably get my license in a year and a half if I continue doing accelerated coursework
>>
>>222903675
Right but what does a "teaching" degree/programme actually teach you?
>>
>>222903720
You have to do a semester of student teaching where you shadow an actual teacher. You also learn about educational psychology or something. I plan on getting an ESL degree because that will make my application to polish schools more competitive
>>
>>222903797
Ok. Sounds like I could be a good teacher.
>>
>>222903582
