I had 2 jobs sort of like this. First one was as a front desk worker for a hotel on a (small) military base. My job was checking people in or making reservations. For large parts of the year there were maybe 2 or 3 people checking in on any given day. Sometimes for weeks straight only 1 or 0 people. The rest of the shift was just sitting down with my feet up on the desk while watching yt videos or shitposting on here. Pay was shit but low cost of living area so it was enough to live off of without ever really stressing about finance. I got that job through nepotism (I knew a guy who worked there).2nd job doesn't really count, but for the first 5 months the only job was to study for financial licenses. There were nothing but zoom meetings all day going over the study material. I am not a retard so I didn't have to spend much time studying at all, most of the time I just played video games or slept, making sure to join the meetings and turn my camera off. Pay was $30/hr in a low COL area. If you failed the exams you either got fired or demoted. Unfortunately after the exams, the actual job started which was soulless call center with tons of sales metrics and huge volume of calls, you had 20 seconds between calls before taking the next one. It was miserable, and if you scored too high on their tests like I did, they made you take on higher responsibility and deal with the more difficult clients and situations. Didn't get any raise for this, just they told you you were more likely to get promotions so you should be grateful for doing all the extra work to make the same pay as the ppl who didn't do half as much effort.I got that job also through nepotism. Sucked ass but the first 5 months were free money. If you were smart enough you should pass the exams but score low enough that they give you low responsibility/difficulty role. If I'd done that it'd have been goated.
