At one point, my family had a cat and two budgerigars.Then the cat died, then one budgie died, then we gave the remaining one away. This was nearly 20 years ago, haven't had pets of my own since then unless you count the spiders that I tolerate in my flat because they catch flies and mosquitoes.My brother has a cat and lives in the same town so when I go over I get to pet a cat. I don't get on well with dogs

That said, I've at least learnt to properly read dog behaviour; their body language differs from that of cats which means that if you treat one like the other, you're gonna get scratched or bitten.

>>222908063That's also partly a breed thing. One of my mother's dogs only has to step outside for a minute to smell like absolute rank, meanwhile my grandma's weird mutt dog with longer hair will roll around in the grass and spend an hour outside and smell fine.
